Child porn charges filed against Tenino grade school teacher
TENINO, Wash. - A fourth-grade teacher at a Tenino school has been arrested and charged with receipt and possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's Office disclosed Thursday.
James Donald Mobley, 46, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Tenino Police Department.
In addition to his teaching job at Tenino Elementary School, Mobley also has been active as a volunteer in Boy Scouts and as a private tutor, said U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan.
According to court records filed in the case, the Postal Inspection Service has been investigating an international company that distributed child pornography through the mails and via download to personal computers. In May 2011, foreign law enforcement executed a search of the business and seized hundreds of child pornography DVDs and business records.
An analysis of those records found that Mobley had purchased suspected child pornography from the company several times between February 2009 and January 2011, according to records filed in U.S. District Court. Authorities seized a computer hard drive and additional DVDs of child pornography during a search of Mobley's home, court records show.
Mobley is now jailed at the Federal Detention Center at SeaTac pending a detention hearing set for Jan. 22.
Parents who are concerned about contact their children may have had with Mobley are asked to call Tenino police at 360-264-2626, Durkan said.

he was my sons forth grade teacherÂ
he was mentally abusive
we talked  to the principal and  him  im a meeting
instead of dealing with problem they moved him to a new teacherÂ
 he is in 6th grade and still doesnt like school
Six years ago I had meetings with the principle and Mobley, who was my granddaughters teacher. The meeting was in regard to the fact that he didn't look at her during conversations with him. He looked at her chest and he made her very uncomfortable.
I am now waiting for the President to go on TV and tell us how he is not going to rest until he gets a new law passed to protect our children from people like this. Meantime the Union will demand he still be paid or years to come..................
Hopefully this case is limited to pornography and the man hasn't physically assaulted any children.

 @Terina Owen  @Hueski This is true, most survivors of abuse do not perpetrate against others. It is also true, though, that most perpetrators were victims. Either way, our children deserve to be protected and to feel safe disclosing mistreatment.

This whole thing is really gross. I hope no children were harm by this man. I know that if my child was around this guy I would be freaking out with wonder and the whole what if question. I would not know how to talk with my child to find out what happen without making them feel like they should answer one way. It's just something that I am not prepared to do as a parent, and I should never have to be.Â
 @Just my say I'm not a parent but I'm sure I soon will be... If my kids were ever in the same room such as someone like this and I found out, I can promise you that the police would only be needed to get me off this guy.Â
