Couple targeted in Pt. Angeles home invasion robbery
PORT ANGELES, Wash. - Armed robbers got away with firearms, cash and jewelry during a home invasion robbery early Saturday in Port Angeles, officials said.

The incident began at about 1 a.m. when three men wearing disguises and armed with handguns broke into a home occupied by a husband and wife in the 3000 block of Fourth Avenue, said Chief Deputy Ron Cameron of the Clallam County Sheriff's Office.

The robbers demanded that the couple give them their valuables, then assaulted the wife by throwing water on her.

The robbers then demanded that the husband open his safe, which he did. The suspects fled the home with firearms, cash and jewelry from the safe.

The suspects left in what was thought to be a small foreign vehicle.

Officers searched the area with K-9 police dogs but no trace of the robbers could be found, meaning they likely fled in a nearby vehicle, Cameron said.

The investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office detective bureau at (360) 417-2459.
