Deputies: Sex offender rapes woman 10-days after getting out of jail
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. -- A Washington County man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman on Monday -- 10 days after he had been released from jail on a separate offense.
Yusuf Dahir Sheikh-Nur, 28, is being held on suspicion of kidnapping and raping the woman at his apartment in Bethany. Bail was set at $2.4 million.
Police say Sheikh-Nur is a known serial sex offender who has been in and out of jail seven times since May 2011. His past charges include rape, harassment, robbery and drug offenses.
Sheikh-Nur is known to target women in his neighborhood, sheriff’s deputies said.
In jail on a harassment charge, Sheikh-Nur had posted bail on Feb. 1 and was released. Washington County sheriff’s deputies said that on Monday, Sheikh-Nur brought a lady home to his apartment, refused to let her leave and then sexually assaulted her.
Deputies believe there may be more victims.
I don't want a single dollar spent on housing and feeding this miscreant. Embark him on the next Air Force flight to the Somalian area and drop him from 40,000 feet without a parachute. He'll have a few moments to ponder why he didn't respect the nation that took him in.

Life. My take on both sexual predators and DUI offences is two strikes. One offence, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and consent to treatment of their 'illness'. More than one victim or more than one offence, life behind bars. No excuses no leniency. At that point they would have shown a clear track record of being a threat to the community.
keep voting for people that believe in "therapy", early release, and alternative methods of treatment for criminals like this. the one thing you can count on is, predators that are released will prey on YOU. look at his short record, arrested seven times since May 2011 with past charges include rape, harassment, robbery and drug offenses. your elected officials keep letting him go. if you elected the people in office that voted to allow predators like this back on your streets, it is your own fault.Â

After the first offense it's not his fault. He was paroled several times and offered bail this time. Bail was reasonable enough that he could make the small percentage due for bond. So he's having fun witht he system. All he has to do is comply with a few regulations for a few months or years and he knows he'll be back on the street. What needs to happen is the women in his area need a gun to stop him once and for all.
Is this guy a U.S. citizen or a citizen of Somalia? Deport him already!

Sad to see this kind of thing happening, sadder still that someone has to be put through such a horrible experience and remain scarred for the rest of their life just because we cant ramp up the penalties for rape. How many times do you let a rapist re-commit the offense before you decide enough is enough? I imagine if it was the judge being raped they would sure as hell want stiffer penalties. He will be out again soon, all ready to reoffend. This stuff makes me sick.

In and out of jail seven times in two years? Oh what a glorious legal system we have! I am of the opinion that a true sex offender (not some 18 year old having sex with his 15 year old girlfriend) are not capable of being rehabilitated...some type of evil (chemical imbalance) in their head...yet our courts keep putting them through the revolving doors of justice, and "we" pay the price.
