Diane Sawyer interviewing Amanda Knox for April show
NEW YORK (AP) - Amanda Knox, the college junior who spent four years in an Italian prison after being accused of murdering her British roommate, is telling her story to ABC News.
The network says Knox will sit down with Diane Sawyer for a prime-time special airing April 30. The exclusive interview also will be featured on other ABC News programming.
Knox was an American student studying in Italy when, in 2007, she became the center of a murder case that seized the world's attention. She was convicted in 2009. But after an appeal, she was acquitted and released in October 2011.
The interview is timed to the publication of Knox's book, "Waiting to Be Heard."

Diane Sawyer must need rating terribly to interview her. She had a decent upbringing by all accounts then threw it all away hanging out with low lives and got away with it in the end. She is just another Casey Anthony. Diane Sawyer should interview someone who has truly had to fight adversity and succeeded.
Rather than an interview, it is a free commercial to sell her book. Â I'll pass, thanks.Â

She didn't kill anyone, get over it. The guy who killed Meredith confessed and then lied about the whole thing in order to get a reduced sentence.Â

@rightandexact I hope Diane Sawyer asks her why she lied on that other guy initially. If she was innocent, she didn't have to lie on someone else.

People really don't care about wealthy spoild brat that gets a way with murder.
She is not wealthy and neither are her parents. They spent every dime they had and Amanda's Grandmother gave them all her money and mortgaged her house to be able to afford a defense attorney and to make sure Amanda always had a family member in court to support her. I would do the same for my kids. If she did get away with murder she knows it but what if she is innocent. There was so much mishandleing of the evidence that the truth may never be known. They interrogated her in Italian for hours. She had only been in Italy for a few months and was not fluent in Italian. There are many inconsistancies and I don't like the fact that the prosecutor was charged and convicted of planting evidence in another trial. That makes the Italian legal system worse than ours.
@taxpro She should have thought about her actions before someone ended up dead. She hung around rough people which means she is rough. Meridith complained about her as well. She dug the hole she got into. Nevertheless, she is free; she should just live quietly.
