Dog drowns in Lake Tapps

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- Bonney Lake police and East Pierce Fire & Rescue crews recovered a drowned dog from Lake Tapps Sunday morning.
Police say it appears the dog somehow became entangled in a rope and buoy and drowned sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
After finding the dog, divers searched the area to make sure there was no loss of human life. Nothing else was found.
Police say there is no evidence of animal cruelty, and the dog's owner was located and told of the drowning.

So sad. Very sad. I hate to hear about animals that get killed. Rip, poor doggie.

@james dandey What the heck are you talking about? Are you making stuff up because you find this topic boring?
I feel really bad for the dog. Poor thing. And to the rest of you, No news is good news. Rather hear about the stupid gangs or murders? I swear some people just want to complain
While I was walking on the Burke Gilman this morning I saw a dead slug. I guess I should have alerted the crack KOMO news team so they could run a story about it.
Hmmm.. Poor dog. But really? the dog just went into the lake, by itself on a Saturday night and got tangled up? Â Something doesn't sound right. Â
Poor dog :*(
Really? A dog?? It's sad that a dog drowned, but why is this news?
@chandler Because it happened on Lake Tapps, thats why. The news media can't wait for another drowning on this lake to push the whole "no lifeguards" meme.
@WhatsonTapps @chandler Seriously, does it really matter?
Why was the dog in the water unattended?!Â
How did the dog get tangled in the rope and buoy? Was it swimming by itself? Some missing parts to this story. What a shame, poor dog....
poor dog! How sad
