Drive-by paintball spree lands Ore. teens in big trouble

TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) - Troutdale police say they have arrested three young men after a drive-by paintball attack.

Troutdale officers responded around 11 p.m. Saturday to reports of people shooting with a paintball gun from a moving car. Multiple people were hit, including one person who was injured.

Arrested are 18-year-old Daniel Schmitt of Gresham, 18-year-old Alexander Penner of Portland, and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Portland.

All three were arrested. The two adults are being held on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, conspiracy, assault, reckless endangering and criminal mischief.

The three young men told officers that they were house sitting in Troutdale and saw the paintball gun in the garage.
