Dryer fire prompts evacuation of vet clinic
SEATTLE -- A dryer fire broke out at Animal Critical Care and Emergency Services in North Seattle Monday afternoon, prompting the clinic to evacuate the animals.
Seattle Fire spokesman Kyle Moore said the blaze broke out just before 3:30 p.m. at the 24-hour vet clinic, located at 11536 Lake City Way.
When firefighter arrived, most of the animals had already been removed from the burning building.
Fire crews used pump cans to put out the flames, then brought in fans to remove smoke and ventilate the building.
There were no reports of injuries.

Not supposed to turn the dryer on if there's an animal in there. Who's the wise-guy!!
Glad all the people and animals made it out safe. This is the place I used to take my cat when she was sick and when she was dying, and the staff is seriously incredible.
Congrats to all the people at the vet for getting all animals out safely. My clinic is very busy and always has a packed house. I can imagine that wouldn't have been an easy feat especially in the weather. Animal life savers!
Definitely need to ban dryers...dangerous inanimate objects.
