Edmonds homeowner shoots, kills burglar
EDMONDS, Wash. -- Police say an Edmonds homeowner shot and killed a burglar Tuesday night.
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. at a house in the 8900 block of 225th Place Southwest in the community of Esperance.
Details are sketchy, but it appears a man broke into the house and was shot by the homeowner, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The intruder died at the scene.
A witness near the scene said he heard four gunshots coming from the house, but officials haven't confirmed that.
Detectives from the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit have been called out to investigate the shooting.
