FAIRWOOD, Wash. - An elderly couple has been found dead, and their grandson is unaccounted for, the King County Sheriff's Office said.
The bodies were discovered Saturday evening by the couple's daughter, who came to the home in the 16200 block of 145th Avenue SE when she couldn't reach anyone there. Deputies and medics arrived a short time later and pronounced the couple dead.
Investigators would only say they don't believe it was a murder-suicide and there are no suspects in custody.
Later Saturday, police said they were searching for 26-year-old Michael Boysen, the couple's grandson, who is unaccounted for.
Sgt. Cindi West initially said authorities were not searching for him as a suspect of the crime, and said his relationship to the incident is unknown - but they know he was at the home Friday night.
West later said a warrant has been issued for Boysen and that he is wanted for questioning in connection with the killings.
Boysen is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
Investigators are also searching for the slain couple's car, which is missing from the scene. It is described as a red 2001 Chrysler 300 with Washington license plate 046-XXU. If you know where the car or Boysen is, you're asked to call police
Investigators have not given any further details about the murders and only identified the victims as 82- and 80-years old.

It would take little detective work --- pub released info---the 26yo male suspect, the deceased... It can be learned with only marginal effort.
Of course. Thank you.
All that I can say is that I am in a position to know. Sorry I can't say more.
@auburn
Well then let his mother know that there are many caring people whoâs hearts go out to her. I can not imagine how much this must hurt. Â
.....the woman that found her parents's murdered..... Also is dealing with a son... That killed her parents. (His grandparents)
What is it with grandkids killing their grandparents? I would give ANYTHING just to have another day with my Granny or my grandpa, there are so many things I would love to hear them say again, and so much I still have to learn from them.Â
@MomOf2Â When did we learn that he did it? I'm not saying he didn't, but we don't know yet!
@Zoso @MomOf2 I know the family. There is no doubt that he did it. They just want to know why.
@Zoso @MomOf2 oh come on, let's go ahead and convict him before he is even arrested!! What do you say??? No? Oh all right... I guess we do have that pesky rights thing going on...
Condolences to this lady and her parents. Very sad to find your parents murdered. As for the missing grandson who has a mugshot, if it is him, they need to lock him up and throw away the key. Some times through no fault of their own, families pay for family jailbirds.
lSo this poor woman finds her parents dead, their car gone, her son (Who just got out of jail?) is nowhere to be found and had been there the night before? I feel so bad for her. What a nightmare.Â
@Insomniac Dreams They should have had her son stay at a half-way house, why visit hardships on everyone because of his poor choices.
@Pollywannacracker @Insomniac Dreams He was in the process of going to a half way house. He was to be admitted into one on Monday. The family just wants to know why and they want justice. Keep getting these videos out to all your networks to help find the car.
I hope never to find out how it feels to defend the right to own guns by anyone, anytime, anywhere. At some point, that "freedom" will catch up to those who are so blind to the killings we read about everyday. The Day of Judgement when you have to look back at you own value will come in whichever form you believe in it. The Second Amendment has been misinterpreted and it will become the way future generations will judge us in the present time.
@Socialjusticeforall It feels great. I do it all the time. I suppose it would be hard if you disagreed with the arguments. I can spam you with news stories of people who defend their lived, businesses and property by using a gun. And the majority of the time they don't even fire it. Just upping the stakes sends the right message to most criminals.
i.e. your whole comment comes from a position of ignorance on the issue.
@Moved from Seattle to Kentucky @Socialjusticeforall No one said this was done by a gun. So lets keep politics out of his please. A family has been devastated! Please get these videos out to all your networks so we can find him. The family just wants closure.
@Moved from Seattle to Kentucky @Socialjusticeforall She's scared and does not grasp the concept that while our current society can instantly notify us on any occurrence in the state/nation/world almost instantly, that that implies an increase of violence ignoring the fact that violence in this country has been on a downward swing for a few decades now. Being aware that a neighbor has suffered a crime does not make it a trend. I somehow doubt that anyone is after her or that she will ever be a victim of gun crime, unless of course she is between the ages of 18 and 24 and a member of a gang... then your odds go up substantially...
@SocialjusticeforallPlease do us a favor and interpret the 2nd Amendment for us with all of your wisdom.  Â
@The206 @Socialjusticeforall Oh please dont do that... We have heard it before...Â
The dragnet is tightening.
@BuddyHolly I thought you were going to church............it's getting a little late for service isnt it?
@Susabelle I couldn't prey myself from the keyboard to pray so i turned on the JesusVision TV channel.
@BuddyHolly The word you are looking for is PRY not PREY.Â
When I read stories like this I pray as a parent my children never grow up to be as evil as this kid.
Sad that anyone could harm another but to harm the defenseless or close to defenseless is especially cowardly and evil.
@sunnysandiego We do not agree on much sunnysandiego, but I certainly will agree with you on this one.
I am going to church in a few minutes and praying for Jesus to unshackle this poor boy's soul
They were probably shot with a gun. Viva the freedom to own guns of any type by anyone! Is this a stupid interpretation of the Second Amendment or what?  I worry about my family every day that some idiot with a legally acquired gun will come by my house or my kids' school and hurt my kids who cannot defend themselves. Thank you NRA and thank you freedom fighters for allowing millions and millions of guns in the hands of everybody who wants them.
@Socialjusticeforall Oh Gawd! People with that sort of ignorant arrogance and traffic are the two things I fled when I left Seattle. Check the stats. You are worrying about the wrong stuff. Get rid of your TV. They are lying to you.
@Socialjusticeforall While we're discussing being afraid of the rights of others, I'm afraid of your right to vote!
@Socialjusticeforall You are aware that murders are at the lowest levels since the early 90's, right? And that gun sales are also at their highest levels? just sayin'... however, since the story does not say the couple was shot and killed, and judging by how quickly KOMO releases that kind of information I might suggest a gun WASN'T used. But we will just have to wait and see, since cause is not in the story.
@Socialjusticeforall Guns, baseball bats, knifes, poison, physically beating somebody up with your fists and many other things can be used to kill. Socialjusticefor all is not trolling for a fight this is truly what he/she believes.
@Socialjusticeforall, You are either dangerously paranoid or you're trolling for a fight. That is the most inane post I've seen. Completely wackadoodle.Â
@SargeMcC Seems the further left they lean, the longer they get to post things here. lol. I know a few conservatives that have been banned from this forum, but never the whackjobs. It is to ponder.... Nice ride b.t.w.
@Socialjusticeforall You can't get shot with a knife, duh!
@Socialjusticeforall You are a wack job, what are you going to do if it turns out that a knife was used?
@Dieseldog could you imagine? No more butter on toast because knives are banned!
@Socialjusticeforall Assume much? Try waiting for FACTS before going back on your anti gun crusade.
@Takamine @Socialjusticeforall Er, totally off topic, sorry, but my husband is in NYC and sent me your avatar and asked if I'd seen it.  That is the funniest thing we have ever seen, nice job!
@Takamine @Doxie @Socialjusticeforall Same show, same makeup, how fun!
@Doxie @Takamine @Socialjusticeforall I went to the show in Everett two years ago, dressed just like the dog. lol. Gene Simmons is one of the harder makeup jobs to do. I had a lady from England ask to take my picture as if I was him. Felt famous for a minute. lol. :)
@Takamine @Doxie @Socialjusticeforall My husband took our friend's 12-year-old daughter to her first concert 2 summers, ago, KISS!  Her friend's mom is a makeup artist and did that same face.  It was incredible.  People were getting their picture taken with her - and my dog blasted out an explosive trumpet of urine all over me and everything within a couple of feet when she saw her.  Haha!  Do you think it was photoshop - maybe someone really did that!  Clever as heck, for sure.
@Doxie @Takamine @Socialjusticeforall Being a huge KISS fan, I wish I could take credit for this avatar, but alas, I'm not that computer savvy, so I borrowed it, and thank whoever it is that has that much Photoshop creativity :)
Where are you people getting information that he just got out of prison? Â If true it does seem pretty suspicious that he just got out of prison, was at their home, and they end up dead.
RIP
@Sheridan I read on one of the posts below earlier who happens to live 2 doors down that word on the street is he recently got out of jail a couple days or so before this. Whether or not that's officially true, dunno, but there always is that possibility. Scary to think it is.
@Sheridan He is picture on King5 are mugshots.
@Sheridan I grew up with him.  He just got out a couple days ago.
@SheridanÂ
The story has been edited. It used to say that Boysen was released from prison 2 days ago. Also, the story started out saying this happened in Fairwood address, then KOMO changed Fairwood to Covington, now it's back to Fairwood.
@johnbe
I think KOMO's confusion comes from the fact that Covington and Maple Valley Police cars were at the scene. The King County Sheriffs Office patrols Fairwood, which is in unincorporated King County. The Cities of Covington and Maple Valley contract Police services with the King County Sheriffs Office, so when a major incident is broadcast, those city Police Officers will help their un-incorporated partners.Â
KOMO reporters who are not familiar with the area seem to look at the Police markings and assume that they are in Covington/Maple Valley ETC.
@johnbe Fairwood has a Renton zip code and Renton phone numbers and anyone who's lived in the south end would consider it Renton. Covington is at least 20 minutes away on an average traffic day. Our three news stations are always confused where Tahoma National Cemetery is as well. It's either Maple Valley, Renton or Covington depending on who is writing the story.
@johnbe @Alert Eagle I always love how KOMO is always changing the neighborhoods where it's unincorporated. When there was a shootout at the Benson branch of BOA 9 years ago, I remember they said it was near Kent, then near Renton. Guess that's one good thing about the annexation, they can actually say it's IN Renton! LOL!
@Alert Eagle
Unlike those who write these stories, I am well aware of where Fairwood, Renton, Covington, and Kent is. KOMO didn't get the location wrong, they changed it. Also, they changed the story to omit the part of the story that would make the grandson look bad, like nobody would notice.
@johnbe @Sheridan You're right, I thought I had seen that too.  Wonder why the prison release info was removed........
@Doxie @johnbe @Sheridan Â
Well, at least he's not a member of a protected race or religion so they don't have to hid that info.
@Sheridan I looked further down on the page and a poster claims to live 2 doors down and heard about it; said the detectives came to their door as well.  I guess that's why everyone's speculating...
@Sheridan I have no idea if he just got out of prison, only that the photo being used by the Times appears to show him in a red jumpsuit.  Either way, the timing of his disappearance is suggestive.
@Sheridan Because it's much more interesting if everyone engages in wild speculations and assumptions and mix the news story with their own fantasies. After all everyone here has a the super ability to solve any crime based on a photograph and a vague description of the actual crime LOL
