Farewell Paul Deanno, welcome Seth Wayne
Paul Deanno and his family set off for San Francisco.

SEATTLE – Goodbye Paul and hello Seth.

So went the transition this morning in the KOMO News weather department as meteorologist Paul Deanno celebrated his last day of forecasting in Western Washington.

Paul, who’s been a part of the KOMO 4 Morning News team for more than three years, begins his new job as chief meteorologist at KPIX-TV in San Francisco next week.

“The opportunity at CBS in San Francisco is truly a dream job, but I will really miss the people who work here... and I will miss YOU,” wrote Paul on his Facebook page.

Earlier this week KOMO 4 viewers were introduced to the meteorologist who will replace Paul, Seth Wayne.

Seth arrives in Seattle via Fisher Communication’s Eugene Oregon station KVAL-TV where he served as meteorologist from 2002 to 2007 and then 2009 to 2012.  Seth spent two years forecasting in Tucson briefly from 2007 to 2009.

Seth officially begins his new role on KOMO 4 Morning News Monday starting at 4:30 a.m.
