Oregon father and son shot by the same bullet
ST. HELENS, Ore. (AP) - The Columbia County sheriff's office says a father and son were wrestling over a loaded rifle when it fired, wounding both men with a single shot.
Deputies responded Thursday night to a domestic disturbance at the residence on the Nehalem Highway between Vernonia and Mist and found two wounded men. They were taken to two different Portland hospitals.
The sheriff's office says the "degree of criminal intent" in the shooting remains under investigation.
How is this even possible?
Responsible gun owners of the year.Â
Now we know why so many are pushing gun control. Â It's because stupid control is so very hard to enforce.
Let's put them back together with another loaded rifle to re-enact the scene so we can see what they were trying to accomplish. It might help reduce this gene pool a bit.
Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge here.  Sounds like one was trying to kill, hurt, or at least scare the other with the rifle, and the intended victim fought back, trying to wrestle the gun away.   We'll need to wait for more details.  At least the emergency responders had the sense to take them to two different hospitals.  No sense having Act 2 of this family drama played out in the halls of a hospital.
@Central Although it may be more of a case of not enough space or manpower at one hospital to handle two victims, or it may be that the one with the worst wounds went to a hospital with better trauma facilities. These things happen all the time and you can't tell from the article how the decision was made for separate hospitals.
Two birds with one stone. Or in this case, two idiots with one bullet.Â
Yeehaw. Oregon, Alabama with mold.Â
@DTÂ You are wiser than you may be getting credit for...
When you wrestle over a loaded gun the loser usually gets shot. This time they both got shot
They're both losers - that much is pretty obvious.
Dummies. What the hell you wrestling over a loaded gun anyways?
@Tattooed_Angel2 Maybe so the intended victim doesn't get shot immediately.
