Federal Way chiropractor accused of sexual misconduct
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- A local chiropractor accused of inappropriately touching female patients had his license suspended earlier this week, and now Federal Way police say they've reopened a two-year-old criminal case against the man.
Greg Summers is accused of inappropriately touching at least three female patients, according to the Washington Department of Health, which suspended his license to practice in Washington.
Two female patients claimed Summers told them they would benefit from "intravaginal massage," according to the Department of Health.
He's also accused of changing the medical records of another patient after she filed a complaint against him for allegedly touching her breasts during treatment.
Federal Way police had investigated Summers in 2010, but closed the case after evidence was found to be "legally insufficient." After learning his license had been suspended, the alleged victim from the 2010 case contacted police and detectives decided to reopen the case.

I suffer from chronic muscle spasms in my lower back and Botox. I was watching "The Doctors" and they talked about how vaginal and the usual orgasm will stop pain in its tracks. I am in the disabled but as a last resort tried the treatment and it worked immediately to stop my muscle spasms.I have known Greg many years and I am praying for him.
Let me guess, two years ago this lady open up a case and it was closed. Now after hearing about his license being suspended, she reopens the case. Is it because she wants to sue and smells money or is there now enough evidence to get justice. I will be waiting for the judge on this.Â
This article gives a better explanation - seems to me like he did more than "suggest" the treatment.

Â
I may not be the smartest person, but I think we should wait until the judge or jury gives a verdict first before condemning him.
Suggesting someone can benefit from a well known theraputic massage hardly qualifies as sexual misconduct.
Now if he was offering to do it himself and was not a licensed Massage Therapist then Maybe?? Most Chiropractic offices are not set up for that kind of private treatment. Sounds a little trumped up to me.
Â
@missyk He is both a DC and LMP. Neither are allowed to legally insert their fingers into a woman's vagina. When someone has 3 complaints brought upon them it seems more probable...but again he will have his day in court.
Benny Hill had one of those places. We watched it on PBS when we were kids.
That's equal not "egual" and there is such a thing as transvaginal Theile massage. Does not mean that his license here in the US covered it but it is practiced in Europe and Australia.
Our family has been treated by Dr. Summers for several years. We trust him treating our children and  young grandchildren and have never had an issue. Accusations, even from mutiple "victims" does not necessarily egual truth. I too have a problem wrapping my mind around opportunity for the allege violations. Best to hold judgement until all the facts are in.
 @seekthetruth LOL
I am trying to figure this out. Â I have been a patient there and I can tell you that the "rooms" used for adjustments are no more than office cubicles. Â Unless this happened in the massage rooms, I cannot see this actually happening. Â As far as I know, he does not do massages.
Â
I will also say there are beneficial uses for intravaginal massage (just ask post natal women in France). Â Whether or not this was warranted in this case is not clear. Â Either way, if the patient was uncomfortable with this, why did they consent?
Â
I'm not saying he's innocent. Â I don't know. Â I'm just having a hard timeÂ
@stamperzann  The article doesn't say they went through with the "massage".Â

@traceywo @stamperzann It says "Greg Summers is accused of inappropriately touching at least three female patients".   If he hadn't gone through with it, the article would (should!) say that he "attempted", not that he did it. In this case, it says he touched them so I believe you are incorrect.
@traceywo He's been accused of inappropriately touching three patients.  That usually means they went through with it.
@stamperzann According to his website, he is a licensed massage therapist -- "Dr. Greg Summers LMP DC".  I am not passing judgment one way or another, but when a medical professional says that something is beneficial or necessary, there are some people who take their word for it.  As for me, if my chiropractor suggested any kind of massage involving my nether regions, I would walk right out the door.  I am not that gullible.
@tacoma_j Yes, he is a LMT.  However, I have never seen anyone actually have a massage appointment with him.  Heck, you can barely get an adjustment appointment with him which is why there are two chiropractors in the office. Â
Â
I certainly would not consent to vaginal massage but it is often used in France to get the nether regions back in shape after child birth (there's actually a term for this program but I can't remember what it is). Â I'm not seeing how this would apply in a chiropractor's office but what do I know.
@stamperzann  @tacoma_j I think that's something he told you! My family is from France.  My mother lived there her whole life. Never, ever heard of it. This is like the plot line of a bad porn.  Just cause you've been around someone often doesn't mean you know them.Â
Yuck!
Intravaginal massage?  I agree the guy's a dirtbag, but who in their right mind allows a chiropractor to do that that to them, or any Dr? Common sense ladies!
@Shelly  The article states that he told them they would benefit from it. It doesn't state they actually went through with it. I don't know if the article changed since you read it or not.
Looks the same as yesterday to me & the article says he touched them inappropriately, then talks of vaginal massage, so I believe you are incorrect.Â
Do you believe everthing you read or hear on the news? You shouldnt judge someone you dont even know..people do make up stories for varias reasons. Dr summers is a man of intergrety and i stand behind him...i have been going to his office for several years and also trust him with my children. Â
Pervert!
