Ferry's trouble an issue for Seahawks game

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) - The breakdown of a ferry on the Seattle-Bremerton run could pose a problem for fans trying to get to Sunday's Seahawks game.
Washington State Ferries spokeswoman Susan Harris says that while the Sealth is out of service, a smaller ferry with a capacity of about 700 people has been called in as a replacement. That ferry is scheduled to make the 9:45 run from Bremerton to Seattle tomorrow morning, and that's the one people should try to avoid.
Harris says Seahawks fans should take the 8:45 a.m. or 11:10 a.m. sailings from Bremerton instead, because those will be served by a bigger boat.
The Seahawks play the Arizona Cardinals at 1:25 p.m.

I have never heard such a bunch of whiners and complainers. We all use the term drama queens ........ but this takes in all genders.
At first I wondered if the new destruction of marriage law was some how causing an issue with the game, but thankfully it is only a simple transportation issue.Â
Bring one of the ferries from the Bainbridge - Seattle run or Kingston-Edmonds run or Southworth-Vashon-Fauntleroy run to replace...naw that would never happen. If the Bremerton ferry is full, drive to Bainbridge or Kingston or Southworth instead...if you can.
The State Ferry System needs an enema.Â
If at any time the state would have listened to the recommendations they were given years ago in regards to the ferries that system would have been in far better shape today. The least knowledgeable of the system were the ones making the decisions and choices and it's really showing up badly now.
SOO if you wait for the last possable moment to catch the boat to the game it is the state's falt not the falt of the person who is not being responsable for thier own life??? That is how this backwards state rolls now....
Â
 @bustedupredneck Falt?
@Furd @bustedupredneck and "possable" and "thier". sigh
Well, dernit anyway - get Roger Goodell on the case!!!
Why anyone would want to go to a football game anyway is beyond me.
 @cyclops While I personally agree with you there are tens of thousands of people that like to sit in an open-air stadium freezing their butts watching grown men toss a funny shaped ball around then jumping all over the ball carrier.
This is just another example of our crumbling infrastructure. Which is the direct result of the leaders of this State spending our money on useless agendas in an effort to engineer our society into what they perceive to be utopia. People want, need and use cars, yet they spend billions on trains, buses, light rail, HOV and bicycle lanes. None of which have lessened congestion, never mind doing basic maintenance.
 @Alert Eagle Great solution....clog the roads with more cars with people who can't drive and have no respect for other drivers or the environment.  Maybe a doctor could help with your tunnel vision.
 @cyclops It's not tunnel vision, it's called reality. 3% to 5% of commuters ride public transportation, this percentage has remained unchanged over the past 30 years. Folks want more roads, better traffic flow and better upkeep of already built roads, bridges and ferries. Every new useless solution to get people out of their cars has failed, no matter how many billions of our tax dollars are wasted. Ironically the same folks that are managing traffic are also the ones regulating the DMV who let "people who can't drive" on the roads. Maybe with a name like "cyclops" you are the one with tunnel vision.
 @Alert Eagle You are destined to go through life as an unhappy complainer because your perfect world with a perfect government will never exist.  The reason busses kind of suck is that they stop every 2 blocks or so and it can take forever to get anywhere.  What we need are bus hubs in neighborhoods all throughout the city.  Busses go from point to point with no stops in-between.  Kind of like a surface subway.  Oh but wait, you want to clog the streets with more cars...that might not work.  Oh well, at least I have an idea.
 @cyclops I am not sure what your rant about red light runners has to do with the ferries, but I suppose you would be happy if all the cars except yours were off the road. As to my typical posts, they will change if and when Government at all levels perform with efficiency and with the best interests of the American people at heart. As of now I cannot name one thing the Government does well. Transportation being one the more blatant wastes of billions of our dollars and something that effects us on a daily basis. But I am sure another tax will fix all the transportation woes in this State.
 @Alert Eagle People who refuse to move forward want more roads while anyone with vision can obviously see we need less cars. Just keep adding lanes....what a laugh. The reason less cars doesn't work well here is because typically Americans are self centered idiots....and that is what must change. I just got to get through this intersection NOW...but oh the light just turned red....oh well I am going through it anyway.....so what if the other people who have been waiting to use this intersection have to wait a little longer....I am more important than they are. I can see from your typical post you aren't about to change. One good eye is better than two blind eyes.
They can also drive around. It takes about the same time.
Â
 @rockguy So a 45 minute ferry ride is equal to a 4 hour drive?Â
Â
Someone failed math....
Â
 @PortSCUM  @rockguy That would be you, on both counts. It is a 1 hour ferry trip from Bremerton to Seattle, it is also a 1 hour drive from Bremerton to Seattle via Tacoma.
Â
You were saying?
