Fugitive killed in Vancouver identified

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - A warrant suspect shot and killed in a confrontation with local and federal authorities in Vancouver on Friday has been identified.
Authorities identified the man as 28-year-old Jessee J. France on Saturday.
According to information from the Vancouver Police Department, France rammed an undercover police vehicle before the shooting. Officers got out and approached the driver. The driver, then, "escalated the situation" leading several officers to fire.
The suspect died at the scene near the Addison Apartments. A veteran Vancouver Police detective has been put on paid administrative leave pending completion of the investigation.
France was a suspect in several felony cases and had an outstanding warrant.
The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force is made up officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Washington Department of Corrections and Vancouver police.

Finally a good news story
Good God...over 80 cases on courts.wa.gov where he's listed as a defendant. Unless he's named after his equally law-breaking father?
28 is so young. What a shame he wasted his life making bad choices but at least the rest of us can go on in peace. Hopefully he didn't leave behind any kids in all of this. If so, hope they are already in a stable caring home.
Thank you VPD, now he is out of our misery.
The information is vary evasive...by design? Felonies are not nessessarily punishable by dealth, except in this case that is!
@FED__UP Maybe if he hadn't rammed to marshals car he would have lived. Maybe if he hadnt't committed the felonys they wouldn't have been looking for him. Maybe, maybe maybe. He made bad choises so now he's dead. Good I don't have my tax dollars supporting him in prison.
Darwin strikes again.
"...several felony cases..." Couple that with the 36-time loser here at home.
I think I'm seeing a pattern here, but I just can't quite put my finger on it...
Ah, that's the one, whose face was blown off, right?  Good riddance!
