Geoduck diver airlifted from Gamble Bay
KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. -- A diver was airlifted to a Seattle hospital following a mishap in Gamble Bay on Tuesday morning.
The man had been harvesting geoducks 33 feet below the surface when he ran into trouble, according o his companions.
The 46-year-old man's companion divers called 911 just before 11 a.m. and said they were rushing to shore at Point Julia with the unconscious man. The companions were performing CPR on the man when medics met the vessel.
The man was flown to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
No other information was immediately available.
