SEATTLE - It was raining glass in downtown Seattle on Friday morning as a high-rise hotel window shattered and came crashing down onto Seneca Street.

It's not clear how the window in a room on the 29th floor of the Crown Plaza was broken out, a little after 7 a.m.

Nobody was injured on the street below, but police closed Seneca Street so workers could push out the rest of the glass from the broken window.

Hotel staff down below cleared people off the sidewalk.

The street was later reopened.
