EVERETT, Wash. -- A high-speed police chase in the north county ended Wednesday night with a car crash and three arrests.
The chase began in Stanwood after Snohomish County deputies responded to a call about two men prowling outside a vacant home. When deputies from Snohomish and Island counties arrived on scene, the prowlers hopped into a waiting car.
The car, which was driven by a woman, slammed into one of the patrol cars and tried to run over an Island County deputy, according to deputies.
The trio made it out of the neighborhood and began driving southbound on I-5 with law enforcement from several agencies in tow.
The woman exited I-5 at 128th Street in Everett and the chase ended when she crashed her car in the 200 block of 128th Street SW.
Two 25-year-old men and the 22-year-old driver were arrested. Neither deputy was injured.

These morons (or at least the driver) needs to be locked up for a long time. She chose to risk the lives of a lot of innocent people by pulling that crap -- attempted manslaughter maybe????
As I was driving to work on I-5 South last night I was a witness to this maniac driver. I was in the middle lane when all of a sudden I heard and felt the whoosh of that car as it flew by my driver's side, then cut so close in front of me. Patrol cars soon followed, but at least they weren't driving in a way to endanger other drivers on the road. When I think about what could have happened to me and/or others if that car had clipped my front end...I might not be here today to tell about it.
@Deb/Arlington Your story is exactly what my thoughts went to when I read this story. I can only imagine it's a miracle she did not hurt or kill someone along the way. I am so glad you are OK.
I am so glad you are ok. Go buy a lotto ticket!Â
Good thing she didn't slam into an innocent driver, having nothing to do with the chase, along the way.
These chases NEVER seem to end well for the criminals. âº
I wonder how many other charges (and years) they potentially added to their eventual stay at the DOC Motel?
I heard the guy who tackled the suspect kinda looks like Shrek, any confirmation on that?
One of the guys is going to be hurting after I seen this BIG! good Samaritan body slam the guy trying to run away
And no mention of the passer by who tackled one of the men next to the semi trailer. Â
I am so tired of these jerks getting a wrist slap for running from the police. Running from the police should earn an additional five years and if there is an injury accident it goes to 15 years. It may not stop these clowns from running but they will at least be off the streets.
Get them zombies!!!!!!! Yesssssssss.
modern technology .. radios, low jack, GPS phone tracking, helicopter/airplane police.. are high speed chases REALLY necessary ? or is it a criminally fused testosterone "rush" for the jack boots .. damn the public, we're on a hunt!Â
@everyoneelse radios, low jack, GPS phone tracking, helicopter/airplanes do not stop chases. Radios allow the police to talk. Low jack helps locate stolen vehicles not stop them in a pursuit. GPS phone tracking can only be used in emergencies ( this is not an emergency to cell companies) further if you do not know who it is how do you track their phone? Helicopters and airplanes help but at hundreds of dollars an hour to fly and a lengthy delay to get in the air not overly efficient. So, since police do not know who they are chasing and their job is to catch bad guys they are nessary. Keep in mind most technology companies do not help the police without a warrant. They have to "protect" their customers even if they are the victim and it is at their request.
At least "neither deputy was injured." Â
so tired of these low life scum bag thieves that risk other peoples lives in their getaway... God help me that I will never encounter one stealing my stuff, I would punish him for all the others that got away. More realistically, he would kick my ass. ;-)
was it worth it?
