MUKILTEO, Wash. - A homicide suspect who was shot by police after a high-speed chase last month in Mukilteo has died of his wounds.

Police said 34-year-old Riley Leif Ottersen died Monday at a Seattle hospital.

Ottersen was shot Feb. 16 when he pointed a gun at officers after a high-speed chase down Interstate 5, across Highway 526, and to the Mukilteo ferry dock with speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

He was suspected of shooting two people on Camano Island. A man was shot in the neck, and a woman was shot in the arm around 3:15 p.m. The male victim later died of his injuries.
