SEATTLE -- A Queen Anne hotel is about to have one seriously negative TripAdvisor review on its hands after a guest had $5,000 worth of camera equipment stolen from his room while he was at the front desk reporting an earlier burglary.

The man, who is in town visiting his son, checked into the hotel in the 200 block of Western Avenue West on April 10.

On Sunday, he left the room around 12:15 p.m., taking his backpack full of camera equipment with him but leaving a briefcase and laptop behind.

According to the Seattle Police Department's report for the incident, the man returned to his room around 5:15 p.m. to discover his laptop and briefcase missing.

No maid service had been done to his room, and there were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
