Human remains found near Bastyr University in Kenmore
KENMORE, Wash. - King County sheriff's detectives are investigating after human remains, including a skull, were found by a group of college students out for a walk.
Sgt. Katie Larson of the King County Sheriff's Office said the students, from Bastyr University, were walking the wooded trails near the university on Thursday when they came across some bones that they thought possibly belonged to a human.
Detectives responded and confirmed that the bones are human.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office later determined that the remains are those of a male. An examination of the bones continues, in hopes of identifying the deceased person.
King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives were at the scene, near NW 143rd Street and Juanita Drive NW, on Friday afternoon conducting an evidence search.

Nice job KOMO... when I was on patrol out there it was Juanita Drive North EAST & North EAST 143rd. NW would put it on the west side of Lake Washington in Shoreline. (Juanita Drive is on the East side) (Unless they remapped North King County)
How long does it take to get to be bones? Â Hey, maybe it's Hoffa?
Probably a practical joke or misplaced lab inventory from the Cadaver Anatomy course at Bastyr University
@Harrison Unlikely to be from the cadaver lab. I took cadaver lab as part of my coursework at Bastyr. Students tended to be highly appreciative of the learning experience provided by the cadavers. I highly doubt that there would be a way to remove one of the cadavers and haul it into the woods... they're heavy, and embalmed.Â
"And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig"."
Hopefully it's John Bradshaw, the person wanted for the Home Invasion near Holms Point a few years ago.Â
That's where my Anatomical Skeleton went... no, just kidding. I hope investigators are able to piece the puzzle together and help provide the proper closure for such a thing....Â
