Idaho technology jobs showcased on state website

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The Idaho Department of Labor and 160-member Idaho Technology Council have teamed up to create a TechJobs Portal on the state jobs website.

Idaho Technology Council Project Manager Malcolm Hong tells the Idaho Statesman the jobs listing will help dispel a misperception there isn't opportunity for tech jobs in Idaho.

About 100 Idaho tech jobs are currently listed on the tech portal that went live about three weeks ago.

Department of Labor spokesman Daniel Holmes says the grouping of tech jobs will show job seekers that Idaho has a vibrant technology sector.

The 160 members that are part of the Idaho Technology Council range from small startups to large companies such as Micron Technology Inc. and Hewlett Packard Co.
