Inslee and Gregoire meet to discuss transition

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Governor-elect Jay Inslee met with outgoing Gov. Chris Gregoire to discuss his transition to office in January.
Inslee and fellow Democrat Gregoire spoke at the Capitol on Wednesday just a few weeks after Inslee won a narrow victory over his Republican opponent, Attorney General Rob McKenna.
Gregoire, who didn't seek a third term, is leaving office mid-January.
Last week, Inslee announced the co-chairs of his transition team, Washington State University President Elson Floyd, Renton School District Superintendent Mary Alice Heuschel and Microsoft General Counsel Brad Smith. The transition director will be Brian Bonlender, who served as Inslee's chief of staff when he was in the U.S. House and as a senior adviser to his campaign.

There is a need for a transition? Gregoire and Inslee are the exact same...

$442,000 of taxpayer money.
and here is where I think the taxpayers have hidden the rest of their money. Spend, spend, spend. I told you these people were dumb Jay. If you have any relatives, appoint them to boards that pay well. The minions won't care.
Â
Oh, one more thing. When you run for re-election, King County will deliver the winning votes from dead people. Don't worrry your head about that. We leanred that from Cook County, Illinois. No one cares.
Jay I left you a hell of a mess good luck, the only departpartment that is in good shape is DOT
Â
@tck How do you say "520 bridge"

she be an easy transition... show him where the desk is that needs another $10,000 refinishing job and the wastebasket for the rest of our money.
What could the worst governor in the US have to tell the next incoming governor??? it used to be she was the 3rd most hated governor, but now she has the title free and clear.
@Ringmaster2000 Watch - say what you will, but she has already positioned herself for a spot in Obama's Administration. These folks know how to get those pensions and hers from Washington state is six figures a year. The federal one will be pretty nice.
Â
No one cares.
Transition to what? As someone pointed out earlier this is just the blind leading the blind. Good luck Washington.
Should be a pretty easy transition:"Here's where all my dead bodies are buried... feel free to add your own but don't let the Republicans find them."
So 30 years of 1 party rule is "just the way it is" eh? Having a "D" in Olympia is apparently the "natural order of things" then. Time to really hide our wallets. This guy is just another big government tax (take) and spender. Are there any Republicans left around to blame any longer? Were there poor people before Republicans? I thought we wanted "change"? This makes me sick.
@Troglidite It's George Bush's fault
"Oh look Jay! Here's me with the WEA. Here's a great one of me and the SEIU. Oh and the ones with the tribes here are priceless. See the red phone over on the desk? Thats what the unions affectionately call the Batphone. When they need to get something done they always know they can just pick up the phone and call the old Bat!"
As if 28 years of insanity wasn't enough...
Â
What are yer plans Jay? How are you gonna reverse 28 years of your own thought process?
Yer not!??? Really? What about all that stuff you just said?
Teach him all the dirty secrets. So he will understand how to screw the tax payers of Washington state....
Goes to show that "transition" and "change" are not the same thing. It's just someone else running the state into the ground.
Oh nuts, I just puked in my mouth.
Â
Gee, from one side of the butt to the other. We still have one total butt for a governor.
Â
Brown nose those tribes and unions Jay, it is the liberal way of life. Don't forget those must have taxes.
Â
Â
Well look at it this way.. At least we don't have Chris Christie as our governor.
BTW... conservatives want to tax you more then the liberals do.

"OK. Pretend to be pointing at something interesting for the sake of a photo.. Ah - perfect, hold it right there..!"
@Throbbinhood ...the caption should be: "Am I blowing smoke up your asss, or are you blowin' it up mine?"
"...or are you just glad to see me, Queen?"
Serving up another 4 more years of complete FAIL.
Â
I would suggest Gov Inslee try to separate himself Gregoire just as the Republicans tried to separate themselves from Bush during the last election cycle.
What transition? Pretty simple Jay, just raise more taxes and fee's.  Suggest more sales taxes increases and lets go with an income tax too. And don't forget to lets really screw those taxpayers with a capital gains tax. And keep in bed with the tribes and unions, that will keep you in the governor mansion a few more years..
"No, Jay. Â We're the Washington on THIS side of the map."
@belsnickles ok... that one was kinda funny
"And remember Jay, first and foremost.......take GOOD care of the tribes *wink wink, nudge nudge,* and THEY will take good care of YOU."
@Wolfen .....you forgot your nudge nudge to the D-State union laborers.....including the WEA, SEIU, Ferry employees, etc.
I'm noticing McKenna is nowhere in that photo... well would ya look at that. The Republicans must have lost... again
People are wising up the the shenanigans of the GOP. The GOP has shown nothing but disdain for the middle class, women, minorities and, the poor.Â
@LeftisBest LOL damn that is some strong Kool-Aid
@TruthinAdverts Yeah, I hope you didn't just now notice that considering the election was 2 weeks ago.
@Zoso Nah Zoso... just twisting the rhetorical knife if you will. I enjoy uber-con conniption fits
@Wolfen  @TruthinAdverts  @Zoso OK... I think if you read your snarling animal icon in 5 years you'll be really embarrassed at how incredibly childish it is... or maybe not. Does your family know how extreme you are Wolfen? Do they read your comments on here about looking forward to a collapse in society? Do your children look forward to the collapse and "hunger games". Really??? You need some deep self examination at least, and perhaps a whole lot more. Happy Thanksgiving Wolfen!
@TruthinAdverts  @Wolfen  @Zoso Capitalization is for emphasis on points. Shall I spell out the meaning of THAT to you too? As far as making it in modern society, I'm doing quite well. Good paying job, and my family doesn't want for anything. The snarling animal icon? That's what you'll run into if you try to interfere with my way of life. Happy Thanksgiving.
@TruthinAdverts Okay you can quit trollin' now. No one cares, especially with regards to your personal attacks.
@Wolfen  @Zoso Capitalize various words again in your next post please... it's so cool!
@Wolfen  @Zoso  @mn The "snarling animal" icon isn't fooling anyone my friend... Survivalist? You can't make it in modern society as it is... that's why you are pining for a societal breakdown... cause just maybe you wouldn't be a total loser there like you are now... right? Ah... bad news.. You'll be a total loser there also. It's in your genes.Â
@TruthinAdverts  @Zoso I prefer the term "survivalist"...lol. Something YOU will never achieve. So dependent on your government, that should something HAPPEN to it, and your way of life, you'll be one LOST puppy. Where will your NEXT handout come from? Hmmmm.......d@mn good question isn't it? When your overspending, newly re elected "leaders"....throw you over the cliff? THEY have golden parachutes. YOU...do not. :) I do, and I'm not even rich. I just know how to SURVIVE on my own, and take care OF my own. ON my own. Nice skill to have son.........study up.
Â
Â
@Wolfen  @Zoso and I don't mean the average news blog variety either... read what you wrote... You are a total and utter dork.Â
 @Wolfen  @TruthinAdverts  @Zoso Dude... you're a dork
@TruthinAdverts  @Zoso I enjoy (or WILL enjoy shall I say) Watching you all squirm as your choices let you down, the economy collapses, and the hard working Americans that PAY the bills of your average Obama supporter QUIT their jobs, and stick out their hands looking for THEIR share of the "free pie." When the WORKERS in this country, get fed up with supporting NON WORKERS while trying to support their OWN families, they will eventually just say "screw it....let someone support ME for a change"......and THAT is the point where it gets interesting. The government has no one left to take money FROM, in order to give it TO someone else. Then what? Yea.......the day I TRULY look forward to......."Hunger Games America".....I'M prepared. Are YOU?
@TruthinAdverts Which means the voters of the County were stupid....again.
THe voters have a quasi battered wife syndrome affecting them....they know taxes will go up, spending will still be out of control and unchecked, unions will still run amok and pull the strings of another Governor, and they still clutch on to the good ole "D", cause they'll change if you love 'em enough...right??
Really if you think about it smarter people vote democratic. Just compare the education and incomes of people who live in blue states vs. red states. Voting for Republicans is against the personal interests of most Americans. They clearly favor the wealthy over the rest of us.Â
@LeftisBest so the states with lower unemployment, taxes, crime rates, and costs of living are populated with dumber and inferior people? Â
@LeftisBest 8 out of the 10 richest counties in America voted Owebable. We clearly have limosine liberals controlling Amerrica now. Isn't money a "personal interest"? Republicans want YOU to have more of it in your pockets every pay day. Time to get over yourself. When government expands freedoms shrink. Tell us just how government gets it $$. Don't they have to take it from 1 to give to another? What part of government do you work in pal? Ever run anything besides your mouth? I do.
@Sydthepiper I have a box of tissues for you if you need them. Consider moving?
@Sydthepiper You two sure rush to one another's defense (and believe me you need it). Bunker buddies? Why should I placate people who come to these boards and repeatedly make extremist remarks? Why do I have to reason with the unreasonable? I don't...and I won't. You want to reason with me? Don't make ridiculous extremist remarks on these blogs and you'll find I'm delightful. But I have no time for extremists right... or left.Â
@TruthinAdverts ....look son, before calling others extreme & narrow minded, maybe you should take off on your own blinders and shed your dogmatic thought process. ....but I will not tell you to shove off, just git along now, little doggie.
@nobelprizeme  @Sydthepiper Meanwhile you offer absolutely no proof that all (or even most) of Montana's welfare money grabbing from the federal government (yeah... that's right... the rest of us are supporting the freeloaders in Montana). It's disappointing that you cling (as your icon clearly shows) to a narrow minded paranoia right out of the McCarthy era red scare. As for my taking time to explain my viewpoints to someone clearly as extreme as yourself... shove off jr.Â
@TruthinAdverts  @Sydthepiper it is disappointing that simple facts elude you and you must resort to attacking others in a desperate attempt to strengthen your blindly-led arguments, further displaying your two-party thinking capacity.  i've been living with this type of disappointment for a while (lived in washington for 25 years).  again, you've failed to support your argument of how farm subsidies effect desirability for retirement.
@nobelprizeme  @Sydthepiper Yet another red state that talks fiscal conservatism and yet takes heavy handouts from the federal government. Must be all those self sufficient Montana "real folks" eh? I'm sure you'd like to know lots of things Nobel...Learn to live with disappointment.Â
@TruthinAdverts  @Sydthepiper by welfare, you mean the farm subsidies that keep the plant and animal products you buy affordable? id also like to know how a states level of federal funding effects it's desirability as a retirement location. Â
@Sydthepiper  @TruthinAdverts You know Syd... it's ironic that you choose Montana as your retirement location, when that state actually receives more from the federal government than it puts in... That's right Syd... for all their "Montana conservative blustering", they are a welfare state. You guys bust me up, You really do.Â
@Sydthepiper btw... You do understand that the whole myth of lemmings following each other off a cliff is a total myth created by the 1958 Disney film White Wilderness. So you see, you've been basing all of your "lemming analogies" off absolutely false information... just like you do with all your Fox Entertainment information. Where do the false analogies stop Syd? Do they ever?
@Sydthepiper LOL... yes... I spend time in Montana... I'm quite familiar with the "real folk" there.Â
@TruthinAdverts when I retire, yes.  Montana is calling me now to confirm the reservation...and in 15 years, I will be there. Real folk, not progressive passive aggressive liberal socialist wannabee lemmings.
