SEATTLE -- Stand-up comedy star Katt Williams has had a controversial stay in Seattle the past few days, and now he says those incidents have led him to retire from stand-up comedy.
In a rambling interview with a KOMO News photographer while Williams was being ejected from a south Lake Union hotel, he admitted his trouble with the law and went on to make a string of allegations against police and the media.
Williams even said he was going to place a cash offer of $301,000 for the Washington State Ferry Rhododendron as a place to stay with his family and staff until his Thursday court date.
"If they will accept our bid... I will take me and my whole staff on that boat because I still have a court date four days from now and can't leave and I've been kicked out of four hotels in two days and I've been arrested by three different sets of officers four different times detained by two sets of officers," he said. "I can stay there [on the ferry] and my family can be there and my dogs can be there and my whole staff can be there until we get done suing Seattle for this $50 million that I want for crippling my reputation as a father and a black man and as a taxpaying citizen and as a person who is not a convicted felon."
The comic, wearing a Kurt Cobain T-Shirt and Seattle Seahawks cap Monday evening, said he usually comes to Seattle to just get away.
"This was a place I like to bring my kids and let them do stuff without people caring who they were," he said. "I got arrested in front my kids three times in my three days stay in Seattle... And all we were doing was coming into town to sell jokes and police department painted me as some sort of public menace that came to town."
Then he said the controversial incidents have led him to end his stand-up career.
"I'm just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from standup, I'm kinda done," Williams said. "I've discussed it with my kids, I wasn't gonna do in the middle of a Seattle street, I was going to go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or LiveNation."
Katt Williams interview with KOMO News:
On Sunday, police say Williams argued with customers and threatened the manager with a pool cue. Williams is accused of then throwing a lit cigarette into a family's car, which hit a woman in the face, and throwing a rock at that car.
Police said Williams struggled with officers as they tried to put him into a patrol car. Jail records show Micah Sierra Williams was booked into King County Jail at 6:42 p.m. Sunday for investigation of harassment, assault and obstructing police. Producer Suge Knight later bailed him out, TMZ.com reported.
A group of fans also claims Williams assaulted them after his performance Friday night. The fans claimed Williams had attacked them after they tried to take a photo with him after the show, Seattle police said. However, Williams claimed the fans had forced their way into his dressing room, and denied assaulting anyone. No arrests were made in that incident.
Williams, whom police said was 41 but who is listed as 39 in online biographies, is known for his role as Money Mike in "Friday After Next." He also was on Nick Cannon's MTV improve show "Wild 'n' Out" and has appeared on BET's "Comic View." Recently he was parodied on "Saturday Night Live" for his arrest in Oakland.
He has been known for confronting hecklers and last month in Oakland he was moved off stage by his own security staff. The day before he was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating an 18-year-old.

SUE THEM INTO OBLIVION. Destroying this rampant police racism and murder against Moors must stop.Â
Pres Obama would rather spend time trying to figure out if football is safe, than stopping government sanctioned police racism and murder. Katt, you need to sue them into oblivion, put liens on all their property and sue each officer individually. put liens against their individual property and civil suits for violating your rights.  I dont see anything working. Pres OBAMA where are you? I can speak for millions when i say, that if Obama would tackle police murder, profiling and racism, that would be enough for millions of us. Obviously you wont do anything to create jobs in the black community....how about starting by at least stopping police for tormenting and MURDERING US??????Â
Where are you???
How can anyone logically make this into a race deal?
Â
What is wrong with you people?
Katt who?
and the news guy who said katt is unpredictable so we will keep u updated. or the other guy who said but u not tired.. like it was a joke or something wow...... hate if that was his son or daughter.......
@Tierra Stanford Just a little FYI, I don't think that anyone hates him and besides he came after the birthday party that I was with Saturday night before he was arrested. I think people are saying that he need help and don't come to Seattle and blame it on us and want to sue Seattle, that's not right!!! His personnel people apologized to me Saturday night for his actions for that tells me that we did nothing wrong. I didn't even know who he was till Saturday night so it didn't matter to me.
its sad how people can kick u even when ur already down... but love u when ur on top. they did jesus the same way... people we r all human no matter what color, height, or shape. we all have problems. instead of judging put ur self n someone eles shoesand try to understand.... we aint got noone to answer to but the lord when its all said and done.
Â
aww this is sad... i am hurtn 4 u katt...u just going through a rough time, just... keep GOD in ur prayers, ask him to remove anything that shouldnt be there, and in due time he will. i would not retire beacuse thats what u love.. thats ur passion, however i would take a little time to myself...get sm rehab, be around people who truly love u thu thick and thin gud and bad and most importantly pray, u gots to praymy nigga.... i believe n u u will come out on top dnt worry bout it put it  n GODS hands. no on a another note this look isnt even u , go do ur hair.. lol ( luv u katt keep ur head up)
@Tierra Stanford Awesome... and even managing to use the "N" word.Â
What a delightful commentary from an example of a truly devoted fan.Â
To all those asking "who is this and why is it news?"....
Just because you have never heard of someone or their act, doesn't mean they are a nobody and are not respected by many. Just because you do not find this type of humor funny, doesn't mean he should be dismissed as just another nobody. The man is clearly having a break down of some sort and it is sad to watch, whether you are a fan or not. It's quite a shame.
Go on Youtube and search "Katt Williams Federal Way". You will see that he is indeed bi-polar.
Wow, I don't care for KW's stand up routines but this made me sad. He looks like a lost soul. It was kinda strange seeing him with a Kurt Cobain t-shirt on, snow goggles and a Seahawks hat.Â
KW if you're reading this apologize to those people you hurt and get some help. = /
Why is the media giving so much attention to this guy? He is just another celebrity looser. Only in Seattle do we shower empathy on these people who only care about themselves and indulge in a fast and free lifestyle. Actions have consequences.Â
It must be a slow news day. But KOMO my favorite channel tends to repeat news stories for several days in a row. Boring! I tend to turn into CNN or Fox News for a variety of news stories.
Did all of you guys miss that tear that slid down his face? Seems like he is looking at what his life has become.
@Priscilla Dean I did see that. Very sad. This poor man has made a complete muck of his career and it's very sad.
Man, Katt Williams is looking rough, REALLY rough.
Â
Kicked out of four hotels, arrested multiple times, and even slapped a Target employee. Katt, at some point here you are going to have to ask yourself...maybe its me?
Dredd, you are exactly right. How many hotels does one have to be bounced from before the message sinks in? How many arrests?
Â
But he's the *victim*, right?
Good to know. Good to know. Wait, who?
He has custody of children?
Next stop: Hollywood drug rehab.
Finally some good news around here.
Having experience with people who have been either strung out or bipolar, I would guess from watching the video and reports of his behavior that he is bipolar and something has triggered his recent violent actions. I'm no doctor, but I know that bipolar has triggers, and it can be something a simple as a change it diet. I know a person who is bipolar who went off the deep end just because he started taking amino acid supplements. As soon as he stopped taking them, things got much better. Katt doesn't really seem to be on drugs, but of course I could be wrong.
@here_I_go_again , he is on drugs. He got kicked out of one hotel this past week because other guests complained about the weed smoke coming out of his room.
Take off the shirt, you are not worthy.Â
@ALTemp Worthy to wear a curt cobain shirt?  Cobain was a drug addled loser who put a shotgun in his mouth leaving his child without a father. Are you saying Katt's just not quite that much a creep?Â
@Tim Crowley Wouldn't expect you to understand Tim.  It's more of a memorial to the artist and not his misdeeds or undoing.  So... no one should wear a Jim Morrison shirt.  Jimmy Hendrix shirt.  I'm just guessing that this guy probably wasn't a huge Cobain fan that's all.  Cobain was a phenomenal artist.  I don't think this clown is.  But hey... it's your opinion.Â
"Stand-up comedy star Katt Williams..."
Â
Who the hell is this guy? Are you sure he is a "star" KOMO?Â
He is giving up stand up comedy, cause he will be sitting in a cell.
never heard of him till yesterday
My heart truly go out to Katt Williams, I pray that he receives the help that is so desperately needed.
@Angelia Jones Me too...I'm not the biggest fan but he is human and he hopefully will pull himself together soon.
@rightandexact udnt have to be a fan , but we are all human...... well said
@Angelia Jones what's that a sense of humor so he can carry on his stand up comedy career
That's pure comedy - that the City crippled his reputation as a father, black man, taxpayer and menace. Come on man, you and only you, are responsible for your ill reputation, due to your ill behavior. Own up or shut up.
Who?
Katt just needs to calm down and let his security staff handle the problems that always crop up with stars. There's always hecklers and you have to be smart enough to know how to deal with them and not let them get you too amped up. The problem with being rich and famous is someone always wants a piece of you.
@Blindman I'm sorry but I didn't even know who this man was till Saturday and I can promise you that I nor did anyone in my party want a piece of this man. If I did then how come his security came to me to apologize for Kat and shake my hand and asked us to still inside the bar till he came out? That was the same bar he was arrested at on Sunday. He clearly is needing some kind of help. The party I was with was there having fun for a birthday party minding our own business. The so called Rich and famous are no different than we are. The employees of the bar also asked us to stay inside till it was ok for us to go outside. So that tells me that he has done this before and if so why? I don't understand that? I clearly DO NOT want stardom, I didn't see any of us contacting the news media to complain about him, oh wait maybe we should or should we sue him for defamation of character? No, we wouldn't but really we DID NOT start anything. What about him not showing up for his show in Thursday? People that were out the $55 that they paid to see him. Nobody even talked about that. Enough said, he just need some help!!
@Blindman He sucks,...has been,..go waste your money on a has been that does not show up, another loser gone, yay!!
@Blindman I can promise you that NO one wanted a piece of Katt.
Retirement might have something to do with bookings drying up. Â
Why do people enable a worthless over the hill nobody!! Past history dictates he's not reliable, would be thug!! Goodbye & good riddance!!!
That's too bad. Who?
No Katt, don't retire. Just slow down, take some time off and spend time with your fam to decompress. Get rid of the dead-weight. Immediately stop the self-destructive behavior, you can do it. Peace and LOve!
Never even heard of this guy till his antics made the news...looks like downward diver to me...
What a shame.
I actually feel kinda sorry for him. This guy is on a speeding downhill spiral. He's been on the news more in the past week than he has in probably his whole career. Something is obviously going on in his life for him to act out the way he is and from the video it looks like it is tearing him up inside. Whether it be a mental health issue or what (he doesn't look like he is on drugs in the video but I dunno), he needs help. If countless arrests and violent and erratic behavior aren't a cry for help, I don't know what is.
Â
Â
And I'm not making excuses for the guy but we all know how ruthless and cruel people can be. With him being in the news so much for his behavior it wouldn't surprise me if some of these altercations were provoked by people who either wanted to get a reaction out of the guy to brag (Dude, Katt Williams hit me!) or hoping to push him into doing something so they could possibly get a quick payday.
@Tattooed_Angel u said......and well said, we r all human and n the n that man has to answer to god and nobody eles..... and everything u said with i agree with... its sad sad noone has compassion for human life... and could kick smone who's already down
Â
I don't think that would impress your friends. You: "Dudes! Katt WIlliams hit me!" Your friends, in unison: "Who?"
@SeattleJack nobut it would get u paid
