Kent police shoot knife-wielding man
KENT, Wash. -- A Kent police officer shot and wounded a man Tuesday night at a Kent mobile home park.
Officers responded to a disturbance call at the Midway Mobile Mansion mobile home park just after 9 p.m.
According to Kent Cmdr. Pat Lowery, a man at park was armed with a knife.
When officers arrived on scene, the man retreated into a nearby mobile home. Officers followed him in, and a confrontation ensued that led to the man being shot in the torso.
Lowery said it's unclear what led to the shooting or how severe the injuries are, but he said the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers from the Renton Police Department arrived to help with the investigation.
