Lacey officer accused of lying to judge for warrant
LACEY, Wash. -- A Lacey police officer is accused of lying under oath in an attempt to get a search warrant.
Emmanuel Olivo was an on duty police officer and is alleged to have lied to a judge about the basis of a traffic stop, Lacey police officials said.
Prosecutors charged Olivo with False Swearing, which is a gross misdemeanor and punishable with up to just under a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
His next court appearance has not been scheduled yet.
