Landslide closes Oregon's Historic Columbia River Highway

TROUTDALE, Ore. – A landslide blocked the Historic Columbia River Highway east of the Stark Street Bridge in Troutdale on Thursday afternoon.

The Oregon Department of Transportation said the highway will remain closed throughout the day while crews and geologists evaluate the slide.

Several boulders fell onto the road. Crews are working on a detour, ODOT said.

There is no estimated time for the highway to be reopened.

There are no reports of injuries.
