Lee Harvey Oswald's former girlfriend: 'He was framed'

SEATTLE -- This week marks 49-years since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, and the murder has been mired in conspiracy ever since.
Now, the assassin's former lover is speaking out, and she insists Lee Harvey Oswald was framed.
"I can assure you that Lee Harvey Oswald loved President Kennedy," said Judyth Vary Baker, who dated Oswald. "He wasn't the president's assassin."
Baker was just 19-years old and working on cancer research when she met and fell in love with Oswald.
"We were immediately attracted to each other," she said. "He was only 23."
Baker said they soon became lovers, and later she learned the cancer project she was working on was to develop a biological weapon to kill Cuba's Fidel Castro.
She claims Oswald confided in her.
"I learned that he was a spy in Russia for the U.S.," she said.
Now 70 years old, Baker is in Seattle to promote her new book, called "Me and Lee: How I came to Know, Love and Lose Lee Harvey Oswald."
In the book, she describes bonding with Oswald over chess and a love of Russian literature.
She insists Oswald entered an assassination group trying to kill Castro and encountered elements that loathed America's president as much as Cuba's.
She said Oswald called her 37 hours before the Kennedy assassination, suggesting he was going to be framed.
"He said, 'I'm afraid I've told you too much and your life might be in danger,'" she said.
Two days later, Baker said she watched her lover gunned down on television.
"I wanted to kill myself," she said.
Baker said she's not a conspiracy theorist and insists she's paid a price for sharing her past.
"If I'd only said that Lee Oswald killed Kennedy I could have been a rich woman. Instead, I'm hoping I can get enough money for new glasses," she said.
Baker will discuss her new book Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. in room 201 of the Washington Convention Center.

"Have you ever watched a good deer hunter from Texas use a 'piece of crap' deer rifle and hit it anywhere they wanted to, at a couple of hundred yards (including the neck and back of the head), and bring it down?" I have. I was eight years old and a little over one hundred miles from Dallas when OSWALD killed Kennedy for Castro, Cuba, and SOVIET Russia; his WIFE was Russian (but not necessarily SOVIET) if you will remember. I don't know if Oswald was a deer hunter but I do know at the time he was an ex-Marine. Having served in the Military myself and having family members and friends who did including my father who was a 'World War Two' Army/Air Force Veteran; I know that Marines when they go through their Basic Training and throughout their career have to qualify as at least a Sharpshooter if not EXPERT with a variety of Armed Weapons including Rifles. When I was on Active Duty with the ARMY, unless you were in Special Forces or to be in a Special Unit you only had to qualify as a Marksmen. When I was in during the Vietnam era there were only three categories: Marksmen, Sharpshooter, and Expert. I actually qualified in (West) Germany after 'Boot Camp' as a Sharpshooter with the M16. While it can be used as an Automatic Machine Gun it can also conceivably be used as a single shot Sniper Rifle. The Fucile di Fanteria (Eng: Infantry rifle) Modello 91/38 (Model 1891/1938) (CARCANO) Italian made Rifle that LEE Harvey used was basically what a good deer hunter would term a 'piece of crap' but could be used by any good hunter for the very purpose that Oswald used it

There is not one piece of evidence that proves that Baker even knew Oswald, let alone the rest of her conspiratorial phantasmagoria. I won't go as far as to say he was framed as he was implicit in the arguement.
There's far too much evidence to say that Oswald acted alone.
Anyone that claims otherwise needs to do the research.

I've followed everything regarding the Kennedy assassination for over 50 years. This person's name has not been mentioned in ANY book I've read. I', pretty sure if she were his lover, SOMEONE would have known of it and documented it. Also, if she did know all about the plot, she WOULD be dead.
@Alikelystorey - she's not mentioned in this book, but read Wedge, if you haven't already - very interesting take on several historical situations, including the Kennedy assassination. Google her & you get "hoax" and like words tagged to her... doesn't sound as if anyone is too sure that shes not a fraud!
