Police seek help in finding endangered 7-week-old baby girl

SEATTLE - King County sheriff's detectives have sent out an urgent plea, asking for the public's help in locating a 7-week-old baby girl who they believe is in danger.
Detectives said Trina P. Curry, 33, gave birth to the baby "Lillian" at Highline Hospital on July 17.
Police later learned that Curry used a fake name at the hospital and when officials learned her real name they discovered that she had her seven other children removed by Child Protective Services due to abuse, neglect and mental health issues.
Curry's aunt, Marion Curry, said Trina began having babies when she was barely a teenager.
"I think she had her first kid when she was 13, 14-years old," she said.
CPS received an order to pick up the baby, but police and CPS officials have been unable to locate Curry or Lillian, said Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff's Office.
Curry is homeless and does not drive. She was last seen with the baby at a relative's house in Shoreline on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Curry took off with the baby after an argument and has not been seen since.
Detectives believe Curry and the baby may be with the baby's father, Quandra R. Powell, 39. Powell has two felony warrants, one for escape from community custody and the other for a drug violation.
Both Powell and Curry are believed to have "violent tendencies," police said.
"I think the detectives feel the child is potentially in great danger, based on the history of the mother, the history of the baby's father," said King County Sheriff Steve Strachan.
Powell is described as standing 5-feet-9-inches, weighing 190 pounds with a gold front tooth. Curry is described as standing 5-feet-6-inches and weighing about 160 pounds.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of any of these people is asked not to contact them, but instead call the King County Sheriff's Office at (206) 396-3311 or call 911.

my friend use to live above this man's mother on 180th in Shoreline, she is abusive also, he goes by the name Quinsy (spelling?) both are known to hang out by the seattle methadone clinics (summit and airport way south) I use to drive for hopelink and have seen them but haven't worked that job for 4 months now , wish I did so I could be looking for them ! hope there found soon and the baby is safe Â
@Marlene ForGames Maybe you should call the police and tell them the address you just posted, it may be of some help.
Hey, look, everybody! Â They are the lizard aliens, who like to breed on govt. welfare! Â They were living among us on our tax dollars after all! Â Gosh, we're not alone in this universe!! Â
I have Type 1 diabetes and have two healthy children but because the last pregnancy caused me a lot of health problems, my husband and I decided we should not have anymore. Â I still would love to have another but I just can't. Â It burns me up that this woman has had SEVEN other children removed from her care because of abuse and yet she still keeps churning them out, even though she doesn't deserve them. Â I would be over the moon if I was ever able to adopt one of these unfortunate babies that have the worst chances with their natural parents.
These people must be rich,we could only afford one kid and barley at that.
@CrankyPanky They're not paying a dime!  YOU are paying for any prenatal care (assuming she gets any) and delivery care and then the kid is snatched away and put into the foster care system.
@CrankyPanky These people need to be Spayed and Neutered.
8 helpless children that someone else has to take care of - with all the issues they may have? She's no mother, she's just a  habitual gestational carrier.  I hope that they find that baby safe above all.  Too bad they can't rip out the GC's uterus too!

This is a perfect case for forced sterilizations.
Marion Curry, bless your heart of gold!
I do hope they find the baby's biological mother (not calling her mom, mama or mother, as she hasn't earned the respect for that) and the baby very soon. This baby may have a chance at a good life if she is found soon.
Â
As far as the mother, she really does need to "tie-the-tubes", especially after abusing her other children. Parents like this should be stripped of all parental rights and "fixed".
You have to cutoff the money to some people like this. Just turn off the tap. When on welfare you get help with one kid, period. After that the rest should be on your own. Don't believe in kidnapping the kids unless prior violence toward the kid has already been proven. We can't smurf the world and we can't see in a crystal ball as to whether they are good parents or bad parents until they've actually committed violence towards their kids.
7 other children? Â Welfare baby mill....fix that problem first please. Â Both look like freaks. Â How does our society come to this?
Nice toofth

@rtr777 I have reported your offensive post.
Â
You may feel that way, but this no place to use that term. Shame on you, go away and never return; people like you are a real problem.
That should be upper case, bad grammar....Â
@rtr777 Wow, tacky and hateful I have reported your comment to KOMO and hopefully it will be deleted soon, troll. It is one thing to hate what they did but your racial slurs say a lot more about you then about your opinion of them.
@alaska_dreamin @rtr777 I flagged rtr too. Hate the deed, but don't disparage a whole race.
You can't get more communist or Nazi than forced sterilization. Â All though in this case and many others it seems logical and almost necessary, that solution definitely puts government in control over people's lives. Â As a society we can't say there's too much government involvement and then suggest something such as forced sterilization. Â Do you want the government telling you how many children you can have?
@keri555 that may be true keri but why should the government and taxpayers pay for all these children!!!!
@keri555 Yes. The world is already over populated. You want to stop global warming? Want to stop the depletion of our natural resources? Then you need to bring a natural balance back. To many humans then this tiny planet can support. Limit it to one child just like China until the death rate catches up to the birth rate.
@Barlion Well then we as American's have to decide if we are going to keep bashing our current president for being a socialist / communist if you want to limit us to one child like Communist China.  So those of you who claim that our president is a communist need to look at your own communistic views on things as well.  Because forced sterilization and limiting how many children you can have is extremely communistic.
@keri555 some abuse may be subjective Keri but I am talking about obvious beatings!! Now I think you know this, and like i said in previous post Once a child is removed from a home it is bad, there is actual proof of abuse, children are NOT removed from a home just on subjective allegations of abuse!! And I highly doubt everyone in cps are going to conspire to abuse of a child to sterilize a women. Come on now you grasping at straws.
@keri555 Keri I still do not think you understand, I am not saying to sterilize the mentally ill or the mentally retarded, I know that was done way back when, I have seen many specials and read up on it! What i am saying once again If a mother or father have had to have their children taken for abuse and neglect then they ought to be sterilized no other reason!!! Children are not taken from a family for any little bump or bruise, not even drug use is a reason to remove a child from a family and this came from  a social worker that works with CPS! circumstances have to be VERY bad for a child to be removed from a home. Because their goal is not to remove the child believe it or not, they want to keep the children with the parents if possible. I know this first hand, because i am a pediatric nurse and have had to deal with CPS on quite a few occasions, because of my patients. So don't get me wrong I do not believe in sterilization of mentally ill or mentally retarded, just those that abusive their children. Our government agencies have come A LONG WAY since 1970s.
 @cajunurse  @Barlion http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/27/no-money-for-forced-steri_n_1630417.html Â
Â
This is an article in which our own government in the 1970's already did this to 7,600 approx. woman. Â If they can do it to them they can do it to you or me or any woman for that matter. Â
@cajunurse  @keri555  @Barlion I am not saying any of this is ok and I am not standing up for this woman or HER rights, I am standing up for MY rights as a woman and unfortunately when you are talking HUMAN RIGHTS it applies to the entire human race not just those of us who somewhat have it together.
@cajunurse  @keri555 Abuse is subjective obviously, so if you get someone in power with views that don't match yours and make laws that force an operation that is not reversible, then if they were wrongly accused or specifics change, you have taken a woman's god given right to have children and I don't think that anyone should put themselves on that level or in that position to make those choices.
Â
@keri555 I am not talking about just being unfit. I am talking strictly if the child/children have been proven to be beaten and neglected only. There are many unfit people in this world but i would not suggest sterilization for them, only the ones that have been proven to beat and neglect their children.
@cajunurse You make an absolute law like that then anyone in power could say that anyone is unfit, it's up to their personal judgement or preference.  I personally as a woman find that pretty scary, even though I take very good care of my children, someone could come into power and decide that I can't have more than 1, 2 or 3 etc.....  or any for that matter just because they didn't want me to.
@keri555  @Barlion Kerri we are not saying to  force everyone to be sterilized or sterilize them once they have more than one child, we are saying to sterilize women who are proven guilty of child abuse and neglect. So what you are saying is it is ok for these women to keep reproducing then the state has to come in, take the children, and someone else raise them with hopes they have no behavioral, health,  or mental problems, all on the tax payers dollars.
Â
@keri555 No but, when I am supporting these scumbags with my tax dollars. I feel we have a right to limit the children or cut off all welfare programs after 3 children.Â
@mustang sally  @keri555 There will always be scumbags that do things with your tax dollars in which you disagree with.  News flash!
@keri555 I agree with you, but how else do you propose we stop this baby factory from producing more children that are just going to be put into the system because she can't or won't properly care for them? I think eight is way more than enough.
@alaska_dreamin  @keri555 I propose that you make child abuse or child neglect a 10yr maditory jail term.  You call it willful reckless endangerment involving a child.  You don't just take the children away from their parents, you take the parents away from the child.  If this woman was in jail for the last 10yrs.  she wouldn't have all those children.
@keri555 Well that would certainly reduce he ability to breed every year, but I bet as soon as she was out she would be knocked-up again. But I would definitely like to see mandatory prison sentences for child abusers.
@alaska_dreamin  @keri555 You would have to change society.  We would have to get back to married parents having children and mothers staying home with children to really change things.  Also Changing the world and controlling the world are two different things.  There are some very good parents who should be able to have as many children as they want and there will always be these people who should not have any.  If you start sterilizing people because you deem them unworthy of having children you put yourself pretty high up in morality compared to them.  It's easy to judge, but I am sure that someone could always judge you as doing something wrong in their eyes as well.
The focus should be on getting the word out to help find this 7-week old infant. Prayers of protection for this little one. One thing I have learned in my experience is that those who are homeless have their own network of people. If they want to hide from the law, they are more than capable of doing so through this network. There are a lot of things to consider and the worse case scenario is what we all do not want to hear about as an updated news story.Â

@Femme Fatale A lot of these kids that taken from parents end up in wonderful loving adoptive families where they often aren't able to have children of their own  I wasn't born into a wealthy educated family, but I turned out just fine.  I grew up in a family where I was wanted and loved, and taught that money can't buy happiness or love.  I feel sorry for people like you, that think it's more important for a child to be born into a rich family where they might not be wanted or loved.
@anonstanwood @Femme Fatale  I'm not really sure that's exactly what Femme Fatale meant to say. Nowhere did she say anything about it being important for a child to be born into a rich family. I took her comment more as pointing out the disparities in our society, as well as feeling bad for the little ones created by this nasty breeder (Trina Curry).
@Femme Fatale  The words - Wealthy, Educated, and Handsome - drive some people crazy.  So be careful with those words.  But you can use them to describe me any time.
Man I'm sure her parents are proud of her. Hopefully when the police find her, they'll manage to get her tubes tied so she can't have anymore children. She's even worse than the Octomom!
Hey, Quandra, who named you btw? Â I guess it was your mom, right. Â I'm curious.... Â Was your mom sober when she named you that? Â LMAO!!! Â Hey, nice gold tooth btw. Â
Mom misspelled "Quandry"
Hospital staff are able (with proper signatures) to place a 24 hour hold on the baby and not allow the mother to take it home if they believe the child is not safe. Were there no red flags? No sign that this woman was a possible danger to this little baby? OK, so she used a fake name. Did no one ask questions about her medical history? Prenatal care? Anything? Anyone? Bueller?....Bueller?....Something doesn't add up. I hope to God no one in a position to help dropped the ball on this one. Hoping for the safe recovery of little Lillian, and hoping she is placed with a loving and deserving family.
They should have been neutered long time ago.
Why the hell isn't worthless trash like this STERILIZED? Â What is the point in letting this kind of garbage pop out baby after baby, because it's her RIGHT? Â Bull. Get this loser on a table and get those tubes tied permanently.
This poor baby did not ask to be born, I hope they find the baby girl before this nut hurts this innocent baby. I truly believe in situations where children are removed from a home due to abuse and neglect the state should have the right to sterilize the mother right then and there especially if the state is paying for all these babies to be born! Hell even if the state not footing the bill if children have been removed for the reasons stated the mother should be sterilized!!!!
Wouldn't be complete without the gold toof. Webster's definition of looser
Sterilization. It works. Come to think of it, so does profiling.
