Man arrested in fatal Bellingham stabbing
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for investigation of homicide after the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old at a party in Bellingham, Wash.
An 18-year-old also was stabbed early Saturday and is recovering.
Police on Monday identified the teen who died as Davonte Thompson.
Police initially were called to a hospital and then went to the home where the party took place. Police say the suspect walked in the door, covered in mud and what appeared to be blood. He was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Officers booked 21-year-old Geoff K. Spain into the Whatcom County Jail.

Thanks for the B'Ham Herald link. At least IT was helpful.Â
Helpful in determining - despite the friends & acquaintences of the defendant staunchly defending his supposed "character", and pleading for us to wait for the facts to come out - that this group was headed for nothing but trouble. Really? Never known to have been in trouble before? Wouldn't hurt anyone? Funny how the Bellingham PD seem to think otherwise; one "victim" leaves the hospital early (for whatever reason, and the suspect won't even talk to the police, fer cryin out loud!!!!!
Puh-lease.Â

@Throbbinhood If this were my friend or acquaintance, I'd distance myself. They always have the same lame story!
Well at least these low lives went after each other. At least two of them had priors, would have been better for them to straighten out their lives. Oh well, now we don't have to deal with them.
Wow, lots of info here huh? Perhaps a drug deal gone bad? Or a Perp with a long arrest record with the law? Where the two victims were honor students, or part of a gang, did they even know each other? Were they fighting over a girl? Anything as to why? The way this article is written leads the reader to believe this was drunken brawl gone bad?  Journalism sure has changed over the years. What happened to the 4-W's of journalism? What-When-Where-Why....isn't that what used to be the format for good journalistic reporting?
