Man clings to life after being struck by car near Wedgwood
SEATTLE -- A man was critically injured when he was struck by a car late Wednesday morning.

The man got off a Metro bus around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of NE 75th Street and 35th Ave NE and stepped into the southbound lanes of 35th, when he was struck a car, Seattle Police said.

The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition.

Police say the driver of the car didn't show any signs of impairment.

Both directions of 35th were blocked off at the crash scene for the investigation but were expected to reopen in the early afternoon.

The victim's identity has not been released.
