Man dies of injuries from Shoreline hit-and-run crash
SHORELINE, Wash. - A 60-year-old Seattle man died has died from injuries he suffered in a hit-and-run crash in Shoreline on Feb. 19, officials said.

The man was walking across the 14600 block of Aurora Avenue North at roughly 6:45 p.m. that day when he was hit by a white work van, said Sgt. Cindi West of the King County sheriff's office.

Witnesses told deputies the van, which was driven by a Hispanic man, pulled into a nearby Jiffy Lube parking lot after the crash, but drove away moments later before police arrived.

Police and emergency workers arrived soon afterward and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he was initially listed in "very critical condition." He died Thursday night.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white full-size van, possibly a Ford or Chevrolet, with a work rack on top. The van probably has damage on the right front corner and the headlamp was broken during the accident, West said.

She said witnesses reported seeing two Latin men in the van. One was said to have a full goatee beard.

Anyone with information about the suspects' vehicle is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
