Man gets 1-year sentence for helping trooper's killer

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - One of the people charged with rendering criminal assistance in the shooting death of a Washington state trooper has been sentenced in Kitsap County.
A judge threw out a plea deal between Steven Michael Banks and prosecutors and sentenced him Wednesday to a year in jail.
He's one of sixth people charged with helping Joshua Blake in February after he shot Trooper Tony Radulescu during a traffic stop near Gorst.
Blake later fatally shot himself.
