Man hospitalized with burns after house fire in Kent

KENT, Wash. - A man suffered burns and smoke inhalation in a house fire Sunday night in Kent.

Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, a home in the 26300 block of 108th Avenue SE, at about 8:25 p.m. after receiving 911 calls about the blaze.

Arriving at the home, crews found the man in the back yard of the single-story home. He was treated at the scene and sent to the hospital.

The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes, but there was smoke and heat damage throughout the house.

No one else was home at the time of the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
