Man nearly drowns in Lake Washington, taken to Harborview

SEATTLE -- A man in his 30s nearly drowned on a warm, 80-plus degree day in Seattle, Saturday afternoon, when many people were out enjoying the water on Lake Washington.

He was pulled out of Lake Washington by a witness at Martha Washington Park, 6612 57th Ave. S.

The man was under water for several minutes but the witness performed CPR on him until Seattle Fire medics got there after 3:20 p.m.

He was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

His identity and condition have not been released.
