Man seriously injured in rollover crash west of Olympia
The cab of the pickup was bashed in after it rolled over twice, trapping the driver inside.
OLYMPIA, Wash. - A man was seriously injured Friday afternoon when his pickup veered off the highway and rolled over west of Olympia, the Washington State Patrol reports.

State troopers responded to the scene, Highway 8 near Summit Lake Road, at about 2 p.m. after receiving a report of a rollover crash.

A pickup was found in the ditch off the side of the highway with the driver trapped inside. He was extricated by McLane Fire District 9 crews and transported to St. Peter Hospital with serious injuries. No one else was inside the pickup.

The circumstances leading up to the crash remained under investigation.

Troopers said there was another vehicle involved, but the driver of that vehicle was unhurt. The pickup apparently veered off the highway during the accident and rolled over twice before landing on its tires.
