Man shot after alcohol-fueled dispute at W. Seattle apartment
SEATTLE - A man shot his acquaintance in the leg after an alcohol-fueled dispute early Sunday at a West Seattle apartment, police said.
Officers responded to the scene, an apartment complex in the 3200 block of SW Avalon Way, at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a shooting, said Detective Jeff Kappel of the Seattle police.
A preliminary investigation found that a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man who are acquaintances were intoxicated and got into a dispute with a third man at the entrance to the apartment building.
During the dispute, the third man punched the 25-year-old, and the 26-year-old went back to his own apartment.
The 25-year-old followed his acquaintance back to his apartment to confront him. But when they reached the apartment, the 26-year-old retrieved a pistol from the bedroom and shot his acquaintance in the leg, Kappel said.
The victim then ran out of the apartment calling for help, and a passer-by called 911.
Officers knocked on the 26-year-old’s door and he surrendered without incident. He was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault. Police recovered the handgun used in the shooting, along with a spent shell casing and bullet fragments lodged in the carpet.
The 25-year-old victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening bullet wound to the lower leg.

With friends like these you don't need enemies.
While this was going on, two people in another home used some cannabis in a recreational manner without any drama whatsoever.
Are you kidding me? This idiot actually shot someone because he couldn't handle a confrontation lol? What are you a little non-confident woosy moron, can't handle a normal conversation. Why didn't the 26 year old just "TALK" to his 25 year old buddy about the incident. Hello people, we do have brains and can talk stuff out... there should never be a reason an argument resorts to violence, let alone a shooting. Ever. Who cares about all the BS drama, just keep the peace, my god. Â
Â
The 25 year old guy sounds like he was a kid, not mature enough to man up and settle down. He needed to realize he got punched for being a jackass, and just chill out or talk calmly with his buddy. He must have provoked the 26 year old or something. Either way, both are adults and adults can talk things out. They both sound like a bunch of derelicts anyway.
This is about a block or two from where I live, I know where that place is. Not a bad neigborhood

"Officers responded to the scene...at 2:45 a.m." Â Nothing good ever happens outside at that hour.....

@Komo Dragon like that stops anyone from having one, or two
He's gonna have a hell of a hang over this morning in KCJ and a guilt ridden conscious full of anxiety. "I shot my friend? F*** Me!"
