Man tells Bonney Lake girl: 'I'm going to get you.'

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- A 14-year-old girl told police that a man in a van threatened her as she walked to her school bus stop Thursday morning, Bonney Lake Police said.

The girl noticed a red van with tinted windows driving slowly and appearing to follow her in the 11000 block of Angeline Road after 6:30 a.m..

She got scared and she started walking faster toward her friend's house. When she reached the corner 110th Court and Angeline Road, the van driver pulled up within several feet of her, rolled down the window, looked directly at her and said: "I'm going to get you."

She ran away and hid behind a tree until her friend and the friend's mother drove past where she was and stopped to help her out.

The girl said the man drove away down Angeline Road.

She described the man as heavy set and in his late 40s to early 50s in age. He had blue or green eyes, light facial hair around his mouth and cheeks and a pale face, she reported. The van was in decent condition, she added.

He was wearing a gray, hooded style sweatshirt.
