SHELTON, Wash. -- Mason County sheriff's deputies are searching for a high risk sex offender who has "absconded from his registration requirements."

Deputies say Alex Frost, 22, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in 2010 and pleaded guilty to communication with a minor for immoral purposes domestic violence.

As part of the plea, Frost is required to register as a sex offender, which deputies say he has failed to do.

Frost was originally a level one sex offender, but that has since been bumped up to level three because he didn't complete his registration requirements. Level three offenders are considered high risk, according to deputies.

Family members say Frost may being using methamphetamines and has anger management issues.

Frost stands 5'9" tall and weighs roughly 125 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Deputies say if you see Frost, do not approach him, but call 911.
