Massive Christmas Eve fire destroys Kent home

KENT, Wash. -- Nobody was injured in a destructive Christmas Eve house fire in Kent, but a pair of dogs are still missing.

Firefighters from King County Fire District 44 were first called to the house, located in the 18700 block of Covington Sawyer Road, just before 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

When crews arrived they found the home fully engulfed in flames. The homeowners were not injured, but they have so far been unable to track down their two dogs, according to KCFD officials.

It's unknown what sparked the fire. The American Red Cross has been notified of the fire.
