And here's what happens when we have armed cops bringing guns to school. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=am-Qdx6vky0
I certainly would NOT like to have him around me or my family. He is wreck waiting to happen. Get rid of him.Â
Stop you a ss hole or I'll shoot, BANG
This is not 'accidental'...it's negligence; failure to properly holster your sidearm.
As to HOW he injured that part of his anatomy - no idea.
glad he did not have a shoulder holster
The good men and women of the MIPD are having a field day trying to come up with a nickname for this officer.
Â
May I suggest "Leadbutt"?
He's gotta be all butt hurt about that.
I'm not even sure how you would do this. Police have holsters on the side of their hip so he must have turned the gun sideways and pulled the trigger. Someone help me out here how is this even possible?
Hope it wasn't a double barreled shotgun with a hair trigger
Â
So when the Suspect yelled "Blow it out your Arss" He did!
I like how they specify 'accidentally'. Like some idiot would do that on purpose!
Hope he is ok. How embarrassing.
@STK for real! that's gotta suck! haha
Their new nickname will be "Ol' Leadbottom" a la Joe Flynn...
I'm feeling kinda sorry for him right now, he will NEVER live this down.Â
oh, i'm sure he'll put it behind him....
@SwampThing I'm sure he will, but he will certainly be the butt of many jokes for the foreseeable future........Â
@Susabelle @SwampThing Perhaps you two might want to put an end to this, it is coming across rather asenine....
Butt... Butt... Butt...Â
Hahahahahahahahaaha!
that re-training class on gun safety is gonna be a pain in the arse lol
Â
Now that's a real pain in the butt.
he's MR two hole butt. THere going to be a need for a tat, a nice flower or small bullseye. Glad your ego and your butt is the only thing hurt. Get well soon.Â
Well that has got to hurt the ego as much as his rump.
Well Firearms are dangerous for a reason and it can happen to anyone so glad the officer is ok. But i'm sure his colleagues are gonna give him a hard time, sad to say, he is gonna be the butt of the jokes for quite awhile!  PUN INTENDED!
**facepalm**
Why did I read that headline in Forrest Gump's voice?
 @Willow Life is like a box a chocolates ...
@LeftisBest @Willow -Â Â Â Â Â
Â
"Life is like a box a chocolates ..."
''Ya never know who's gonna get it in the butt"
The lack of firearm safety training came to bite him in the arse.
Might want to contact the Feds on proper gun protocol. Trying to imagine your own pistol being aimed at your own butt. Pretty bad. Sure he is on paid administrative leave while shooting is investigated.
I guess this guy will be the butt of all the jokes now.
Demonstrating his quick-draw maybe? I know another nearby resident there who had that particular experience... except his right leg.
Many cops carry Glock .40s which have no safety at all.
@JLS1950 Wrong. Glocks have 3 safetys, Drop safety, Firing pin safety and a Trigger safety. The only way to get it to go bang is by pulling the trigger on purpose. The police issue ones have at least a 5.5 pound trigger pull and some departments are 6.5, you would know you were pulling the trigger. So how does one shoot ones self in the dumper?
This needs to be a clip on Family Guy
It appears all of you in "internet land" are perfect.
@No Time A perfect 100% at NOT shooting myself in the arse!
@oledawg  @No Time so far, at least
@No Time Officer BulletButt is that you?
I bet that made his subject's day.Â
Mayberry Island
OUCH!
Buahahaha! Better he shoot himself in the ass than someone else!
Cheeky but not newsworthy
I always get a kick out of these stories, because of the number of times that police chiefs say the average guy can't be trusted with a gun, and they want more gun control. They are humans, just like the rest of us - no more trustworthy, nor less.
@RN1 This, the NYPD shooting of a crazy guy shooting his coworker but shooting 9 innocent people first a few months back, and many more instances lead me to believe you are far safer with the average citizen carrying a gun than a police officer. I go to the range at least once a month and know exactly how every one of my guns works, and probably how most of the rest on the market do as well. Your average cop goes to the range a couple times a year to qualify and knows very little about firearms beyond what is absolutely necessary to perform their minimum job requirements.
@dg54321 This is very true, Jeff Cooper made the same observations, that most police do what they need to do to learn to use a tool (the gun) that is part of their job. I know some cops who are top marksmen, and others who only go to the range when required to requal. I go to the range 1-2 times per month.
Well that's a little worse than shooting yourself in the foot. OUCH!
Â
Someone should have told him you don't get to be a crack shot by shooting yourself in the crack of of your a**.
