KIRKLAND, Wash. - A group of neighbors, and two off-duty police officers worked together to rescue a woman from her burning home at the 13700 block of 115th Ave NE Saturday evening.

The woman managed to climb out a window through thick smoke and onto the home's balcony. Neighbors rushed over and used a ladder to get her down safely.

The woman and two off-duty officers were taken to the hospital as a precaution. There is still no word yet on how the fire started.
