VANCOUVER, Wash. – A paint company driver fatally shot a company manager and himself Monday morning, according to Vancouver police.

Vancouver police identified the manager at Benjamin Moore Paints as 45-year-old Ryan E. Momeny. He was found dead in front of the business, police said.

Robert R. Brown, 64, a driver at the company, was found dead in the parking lot from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Officers responded to the shooting at 1800 W. Fourth Plain Boulevard, just before 11:30 a.m., according to police.

"We do not believe there are any outstanding suspects," Kapp said. "There is no threat to the general public."

Police did not discuss a motive but the investigation is ongoing.

Sergui Sizmin works at the facility, and said he's never had any problems with his co-workers.

"Everybody is friendly, everybody works nicely together," Sizmin said.

Officers said earlier they were searching for the attacker, and locked down a nearby elementary school as a precaution. A spokeswoman with Vancouver Public Schools said the Fruit Valley Community Learning Center was locked down for about 10 minutes.

No one else was injured in the shooting just before noon, Kapp said.

In a statement, Benjamin Moore said it was "deeply saddened" by the shooting.

"We continue to gather details of what happened, and are working with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation," said spokeswoman Kimberlee M. Bradshaw.

Dozens of people work at the complex and there is an entire residential neighborhood just yards away from where the shooting took place.

Kendra Abdich lives about a hundred yards from the shooting. She said there have never been any problems at the complex.

"They usually keep to themselves," Abdich said. "It's a pretty nice complex; there are never any issues."
