Motorcyclists crash twice in one night; 2 hospitalized

CLYDE HILL, Wash. - Two motorcyclists are hospitalized in serious condition after they crashed not once but twice overnight on their high-performance motorcycles. A third rider also crashed in the incident but was not seriously hurt.
The Washington State Patrol says it appears alcohol and high speed may have been a factor in the crashes.
The chain of events began at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday as the three motorcyclists were riding together on the Highway 520 bridge. One of them skidded and crashed, so he crawled onto the back of his friend's motorcycle for a ride to the hospital.
The three motorcyclists turned around and headed east toward Bellevue on two motorcycles, and that's when they all wiped out again. They took a corner on Points Drive NE at high speed, lost control and slammed into a rock wall.
When troopers and medics arrived at the scene, the two motorcyclists riding together were found unconscious on the side of the road.
The two men, both between 20 and 30 years old, were both rushed to the hospital, where they were listed in serious condition.
The third motorcyclist was down but conscious. When police arrived, he was sitting on the roadside next to his damaged bike, taking photos of the crash scene with his smartphone.
All three riders were wearing helmets. They may face vehicular assault charges, state troopers said.

"Gringo"

Just to clirify to the poor SO BITCHES big mouth MF down there he wasn't drinking the guy he help was but not him, bad choice he should way for the ambulance not take him to the hospital on his bike; now we know that the other guy he helped who is on intencive carewith very low probabilities is the on who make him lose the balance on that corner, it wasn't the alcohol. All of you with negative opinions i truly hope god have something like this prepare for you so i can go on line and call you stupid, idiot and shit like that to see how make it you feeal.
Thank you for all your prayers and support but if you only have something negative to say please keep your comments to yourself because you are posting hurtful things about someone you dont even know. My cousin is fighting for his life and his children can read everything you post on here so please post respectfully. Thank you
I can't stand all of you opinionated a**holes who sit on their highchairs and judge people you don't know based on 30 seconds of video posted on the news. Â what is wrong with you people?? One of my best friends was in that crash and he was just trying to get his friend to the hospital as fast as possible and unluckily took a bad turn, now he is possibly in a coma with a broken back and he may never walk again, if he survives. Â Nobody sees a situation for what it is because you will never know the truth just what the news tells you. They want you to be opinionated so you keep watching the news you f*****ing morons. two peoples lives are possibly ruined forever don't you dare say another bad word about them until you judge yourself for all the stupid sh** you've done that you never had to pay the consequence for. Â Idiots
@dizard85 Dude, really? You want to justify drinking and riding? Kind of a Darwin thing at work, I'd say.
is there an update on the riders?
@batgirl I know one of the riders is still in critical condition in the hospital and has not woken up. Not sure about the other. Thanks for asking.
@batgirl Yeah...they are still stupid. Not expected to get smarter anytime soon. Sorry.
@Someguy98059 Hey watch your damn mouth my friend was in that crash and he was just trying to get his friend to the hospital, he could be paralyzed or worse get a f***king life man lives are damaged and you're judging, and for what? to get your two cents in?
@dizard85 You need smarter friends......I ride with a group that has 100 active members and somehow they seem to stay off the rocks on that corner. Yep, I judge other riders when they drink and ride. No excuse.
 @Someguy98059 Get a life plz.
THE BIGGEST IDIOTS ARE ALL YOU STUPID PEOPLE TALKING SH$*T THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE TALKING WHAT IF ONE OF THIS GUYS WOULD HAVE BEEN YOUR SON, YOUR BROTHER, YOUR DAD WILL YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY??? I DON'T THINK SO HUH...
NO BODY DESERVES TO BE IN THIS POSITION.Â
HOPE AND GOD THEY WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS.
@SHOEI Well, thank God you used caps......I really can see the error of my ways now that you pounded it into my brain.........
you guys are idiots...i ride and have been down once. Felt like an idiot cause i had a couple beers. Doesnt take much on a bike. I know a friend of a friend of these guys and i really hope they all pull through!!!
@tr2675 You were drinking and riding? You should feel like a idiot........
My prayers are with them and their families. Yes they were stupid but the stupid was not calling an ambulance when the first accident happened and the most important was drinking and riding in the first place, no matter how many drinks! A motorcycle takes all your attention!
I personally know one of the riders, both of the guys are in intensive care right now with head trauma, broken bones, shattered ribs... the works.... and are still unconscious (possibly in a coma) .I know from this report they look like the biggest idiots for doing this and that is perhaps partly true. The third guy (the one taking pictures) had a couple of beers(the real biggest idiot), and the one that had the accident first was new and had a pretty bad injury, the other guy did what he thought was best (which really wasnt) and tried to get him to the hospital as fast as possible but they took a treacherous turn going way too fast. They were wearing full gear and this is the first time he crashes in his many years of riding.
Â
Yes, they should have called an ambulance instead... but now they are paying for that mistake in the emergency room with their families in sorrow. I agree... I am glad they did not hurt anyone else, but to go beyond and say they deserve to die is just cruel...
Â
Just a though about how the media tailors it's stories to make them more "entertaining" but when you unfortunately see it from a different perspective, you know that there are real human lives behind these stories.
These pinheads give REAL honest-to-god squids a bad name.
It's not Suzuka!!!
Stupid is as stupid does.
If you don't win the Darwin award the first time, try again! Â
Third time is the charm as they say. Good luck on the next try.Â
Â
It's idiots like this who give us motorcyclists a bad name. Pull their licenses for life.
@WSU ARNP They'll still drive without licenses. Revoking licenses is purely symbolic and rarely deters anybody from getting right back on the horse.
@Tooby Roosday I don't know about you, but I don't "drive" my motorcycle. I ride it.
What a bunch of idiots. Thank you for my daily laugh.
It's too bad they can't be charged with Stupidity.
It wasn't me! I'm not that smart but I'm definetly not that dumb.
Experienced riders? Now they can claim to be experienced.
Experienced yes......wise............well? Not so much.
At least they only injured each other.
Dumb, dumb, dumb. What more can you say?
LMAO!!!...some days it just doesn't pay to get up in the morning!!!
hahahahahahahahaha!
Of course they were wearing helmets, its the law in this state. Why does komo insist on publishing what goes without saying in every article?
@northwestsurfer DUH! What about all the morons that get ejected from their vehicles when they crash? They weren't wearing seat belts, but it is the law. And I have seen guys that don't wear helmets in this state making their statement against the helmet law.
@Tooby Roosday @northwestsurfer No you havent and I know for a fact you are full of BS. You can try all you want to make things up, but motorcylists are not that stupid. if we get caught riding without helmet the bike gets impounded.
@northwestsurfer  @Tooby Does riding with a novelty helmet count as "no helmet?" If so, I've seen thousands of bikers without helmets.
@northwestsurfer Because as ones who flaunt the law, it is possible that in their drunken stupor they might have dispensed with the helmets.
@Glassman Ive seen a lot of stupid riders, but never seen one who rode without a helmet in this state.
@northwestsurfer  @Glassman Come to think of it, I haven't seen any riders without helmets in a long, long time either.
Three candidates for Natural Selection in one night, impressive...
These boys are not so smarty...
I would be so embarrassed if these were my sons. Â
those could be your sons some day stupis ass
Well they won't be doing that again anytime soon.
@mstipton Don't bet on it... if they were stupid enough to mix alcohol and riding (speaking as a rider myself) they'll be at it again in no time.
It sickens me that fools like this live to tell the tales of their buffoonery, while many responsible riders have died due to absolutely no fault of their own.
Several commenters here state that they "....don't ride above their skill level." Skill level should have nothing to do with obeying the traffic laws. The fact that you can ride a wheelie for 5 miles does not automatically grant you immunity nor the right to do so 'because you can'.
Â
I don't care what your skill level is....... ride safe and obey all traffic laws. .
@Poisonous Giraffe You can obey traffic laws and still be beyond your skill level.
The third guy was taking pictures with his smartphone when the police arrived? Â Was he updating his facebook status or tweeting, after doing something so stupid? Â Unbelievable how dumb some people are.
I feel sorry for the rock wall that got hit. Â
