Murder investigation launched in death of Bremerton woman
BREMERTON, Wash. -- Police are investigating the murder of a woman found dead Friday evening in Bremerton.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of High Avenue just after 6 p.m. after receiving a report of a dead body.
Medics and officers arrived to find the body of 61-year-old Melody Brannon.
The Kitsap County Coroner's office has ruled Brannon's death a homicide, and police are still investigating how she died and who might have killed her.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on Brannon's death to call the Bremerton Police Department Tip Line at (360) 473-5481.
