Naked Green Lake swimmer charged with assault, resisting arrest

SEATTLE (AP) - A man accused of knocking a teenage brother and sister to the ground and then jumping naked into nearby Green Lake and eluding police for more than two hours remains a mystery, but he's been charged with assault and resisting arrest.
King County prosecutors filed charges Friday against the man, believed to be 32. They're still not sure of his name, saying he was uncooperative during fingerprinting and refused a jail interview. He's held in the county jail.
Prosecutors say the man violently tackled a 19-year-old man and his 17-year-old sister Tuesday afternoon.
Daniel Gonzales and his sister, Susan, were taken to an area hospital. Daniel suffered a badly cut lip and a broken finger in the scuffle, and Susan suffered cuts to her arms and legs.
Daniel said the attacker came out of nowhere.
"I was walking with my autistic sister and apparently I got jumped. I didn't see it coming," he said.
In addition to harming the teens, the man is also accused of threatening officers with sticks and throwing "large, bowling ball sized rocks" at police, according to court documents.
Police described his actions in the water and his brief stint on Duck Island as "violent" and said he was "demonstrating possible mental health issues."
Bail was set at $25,000 and the man will be arraigned September 17.

Wonder if it is one of those percentors who think they are entitled to everything in the world without earning it!
Should have tased him! Â Aim low!Â
Trying to wash off the bath salts probably...
Looks like a balding, midget Sasquatch to me.
Can they use tasers in the water?
What would have happened if the police used their tazers on him? Shock therapy? May have helped him out.
Â
It seems as though lately, the crazy ones are becoming more noticable in our communities. Is it because the state has no money and are releasing these people back into society or can it be that these people can no longer afford their medications....no money? It is quite scary...please becareful out there.
@Eye4anEye How ignorant you are! There are mentally ill people who have had shock therapy - including my mom. That is not a treatment that anyone should experience! But perhaps you should for your ignorance!
Oh my gosh, I know this is a very serious situation, but hot dang, that picture is funny as heck!
Sounds like he either went off his meds or was on drugs. Either way, glad they finally caught the guy and I hope he gets the help he needs.Â
They filming Hangover IV in Seattle?
Officers next time break otu the tranquilizer gun or the tazer... man this guy sounds liek a real nutjob. Just put something in their food to knock them out and finger print the crazy man .t get his prints.. tax payers shoudln't be payign for this clown...
The resemblance to my neighbor is uncanny. He has schizophrenia. Come to think of it I haven't seen him in a day or two. Â
Oh my gosh! It's Bigfoot, I've found him! He throws rocks around and look at that beard!
They really mean there not going to release him back on to streets of Seattle for a least a week..
We are very lucky to get this rare glimpse of the green lake swamp hippy thing. For the first time ever he is seen here in a photograph ending all speculation that he was a myth.   What a nut job.Â
It is surprising the police didn't shoot him, this is the SPD.
"demonstrating possible mental health issues." Now where could we have gotten that idea? </sarcasm> He's lucky he didn't get shot at after attacking officers. BTW, I think we could blur that image a bit more.
Zach Galifianakis!!!
Isn't he one of the cavemen from GEICO commercial?
@Drunken Fists Don't give Geico any ideas. They just may use him. ;)
Some people don't want to hear this right now in the Seattle area, but not every cop is out to kill all the citizens.Â
This is what prolonged use of coffee will do to you.Â
Put him in a mental institution where he belongs.
get your filthy hands off me you damned dirty cops
 @unobtanium ..apes.
