Nearly 3 weeks later, no word on missing Port Angeles boy

SEATTLE -- Clallam County deputies are asking for help from the public to track down a Port Angeles teen who's been missing for nearly three weeks.
Thirteen year old Joshua Gershon ran away from home on October 3, and his parents haven't heard from him since. At least one person has seen Gershon since his family first reported him missing, but so far police haven't been able to find the boy.
Detectives say Gershon has run away before, but never for such a long long time. His parents say he doesn't have a cell phone or any money.
When the boy was last seen just east of Port Angeles he was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue coat and tennis shoes. He stands about 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds. He has short brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Gershon's whereabouts should call the sheriff's office at (360) 417-2459. You can also contact his parents at (360) 417-9558 or at (360) 477-2701.

Hope they find this boy alive. Man the news lately reguarding kids is absolutely awful. If they find him I hope they get him help before it's to late.
More info from another site:
Both of Joshua's biological parents have died in the past few years and his step-father, Otto, says Joshua is dealing with inner struggles due to his past experience with his deceased father.
Otto says he gave Joshua an outside chore to do and he then ran away. He says his step-son doesn't present as a rebellious type of person, but has ran away before.
I hope they find him safe, I also hope they look into why he has been running away.Â
Very sad when it takes 3 weeks to get big news headlines out to the general public to ask if they have seen a missing child! Hopefully is was not because the parents did not report it immediately. To get the public's help, the sooner the better, and yes this is the first news report I have seen of this boy missing.
Â
I hope they find him safe and un-harmed. This is such a scary thing...hug your kids everyday, and really mean it!!
@My opinion is You're absolutely right, never heard of this until now, 3 weeks is a bit long to start asking the public to keep an eye out for this kid.
Any idea why he ran away?Â
@Pilotclan9404 Who knows, this is the first I've heard of this, and it said he ran away before, but never stayed gone this long.
This is the first I have heard of this boy missing- Why hasn't it been front page top of the headlines news?Â
@MomOf2 I did hear something about it before, but only just a small blurb. And you're right, it should have been BIG HEADLINES!!!
I can't understand why they wait almost a month to let the public know this kid is missing, he might be in real danger by now.
@MomOf2 exactly...I have been browsing the PDN (Peninsula Daily News) for the last couple weeks and have seen nothing about this! Perhaps hidden within their site, but I agree should be headline news!!
