RENTON, Wash. - Two suspects are still at large and one is in custody after an overnight police chase ended with a rollover crash in Renton.

The incident unfolded at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when an officer spotted the three suspects involved in suspicious activity near SE 190th and 148th Avenue SE and tried to pull over their SUV.

But the trio sped off and police took off after them in pursuit.

Officers chased the suspects about eight or nine miles through the streets of Renton to an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Eagle Ridge Drive South, where the suspects' SUV went down a dirt access road and rolled down an embankment.

The impact of the crash smashed the vehicle's frame and front end.

One person in the SUV was treated for minor injuries and arrested for several felony warrants. The other two fled on foot and police are now searching for them with K-9 police dogs.

Residents of the apartment complex say they can't fathom why the suspects ended up there.

"This neighborhood is pretty good. I've never really had any incidents here or anything like that or that I've known about," said neighbor Warren Haynes. "Pretty surprising that it's happened, that's for sure."
