I work 2 blocks from there and see a lot of dumb people just walking out in the street expecting cars to stop for them. Stupid people.
lots of morons crossing the streets there at all hours standing right in the turn lane
Rainier Ave S is about as bad as Highway 2 for ending lives in one way or another.
Not sure if it's really accurate to call that "south Seattle," but I suppose that's just a headline gimmick. The section of Rainier from basically Massachusetts through Franklin High School is pretty pedestrian unfriendly, but a lot of people seem to be fond of just running across the street, irrespective of traffic.
@138 I disagree with pedestrian unfriendly by Franklin. There is an overpass for pedestrians.  It's very safe. Many just chooses to risk their lives and other by j walking.Â
@Princess Thug I totally agree with you about the pedestrian overpass (and its under-use). Still, just north of there you can't legally cross north of McClellan for quite a distance.
@138Â Â Most people around here consider anything south of I90 to be south Seattle.Â
Maybe not impaired, but I bet cops didn't check the side of his face for the "gnusmaS" pressed into his ear.
@wysoumible well-played :-)
