SHORELINE, Wash. -- Detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, after a man and woman were found dead at a home in Shoreline shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

A grandmother who lives upstairs in the home heard two gunshots, and called 911 to report finding her daughter-in-law shot dead on the floor, said Sgt. Katie Larson with King County Sheriff's Office.

Police arrived to the home on NE 175th Street to find both a man and woman dead downstairs, and believe it to be a murder-suicide.

The woman, and her 2-year-old grandchild, were safely removed from the home by detectives.
