Police: Man knocks out pregnant woman for attacking him
SEATTLE -- A man punched a pregnant woman in the face and knocked her unconscious Tuesday evening in downtown Seattle after the woman attacked him with metal sticks and called him a snitch, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Officers arrived at the corner of Pine Street and Fourth Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m. to find a woman unconscious on the ground. A group of five witnesses were able to fill in what happened.
The witnesses told officers the victim had been in an argument with a man and a woman.
The victim ran after the man and woman as they were leaving, hitting both of them with metal sticks and repeatedly yelling "snitch" at the man, according to the witnesses.
Witnesses said the man eventually turned around and punched the victim in the face. She fell backward, hitting her head on a metal newspaper stand, and was knocked unconscious.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where nurses informed officers she was five to seven weeks pregnant.
According to the police report for the incident, the victim had two metal sticks on her but told officers she didn't know anything about getting into a fight with a man and woman.
She told officers she was just standing around when someone hit her in the back of the head; the next thing she knows, she's in the hospital, according to the report.
Nurses said there were no signs of a miscarriage, but the victim suffered a concussion and a 2-inch cut to the back of her head.
Why are they calling her the victim?

Wait a minuteâ¦.. VICTIMS donât run TO a departing assailant (that has not been reported to have hit her even once, yetâ¦) and hit them with metal sticksâ¦. Unless KOMO knows something about the witnessES they are not reportingâ¦..which IMO, is unlikely. Seems that even though the pregnant one was hurt the most â sheâs NOT the âvictimâ as describedâ¦..

Alex Clayton - That was my first thought. Another unknown daddy/daddyless baby, with a drug addict/alcholic mamma  to support. But look at it this way, if the baby would have died, the victim would have been charged with murder, and he would have had his life wasted for this POS!
@Laurie IMO, the telling word would be her yelling out 'Snitch'; not Daddy, not dope, not std, just snitch...
 @LaurieWhile this woman acted in a repugnant manner, we do not know her marital status, the status of the child in question nor do we know the whether she was using drugs or alcohol.

Pregnant or not, you don't go around hitting someone. You might get knocked on your butt for your trouble. The lady isn't the "victim" here, the man who had to defend himself is....you want to call someone else a victim besides him, call the poor unborn baby this waste of space is carrying a victim....can only imagine the home the baby will be born into......
I feel sorry for the kid if she keeps it. She sounds like a real winner.....

It was an assault stick with high capacity rust.

5 to 7 weeks pregnant? Still a 25% chance of miscarrying anyway. I don't even know why they bothered to point out that she was pregnant.

 @tkyed  @Getback2work Sounds like it wasn't the punch that knocked her out, it was hitting her head on the way down. The punch could have been pretty light but if she was off balance it would take her down.
